If you're using any sort of compost mix or soil, yes keeping it moist but not overwatered. The buck wheat hulls will leach extra silicone into your soil and the alfa will have other goodies to help too. Maybe get a mix of both?
I would still water every 3 days or whatever it was you were already doing.
If you don't like it you can try something else. Maybe just add one thing at a time if you're worried. Then you know what's worked, or not!.
I know if you're using nutrients with salt in, you can get build up and that can be a problem. I know some salt based nute users have a mid flower flush. Then another flush at the end. Even if you're in soil it may be worth thinking of this.
