@2-Scoops I’m not using coco with this grow I’m in soil
So much for that explanation then hey ffs

But soil works a similar way but has a much lesser CEC than coco. I think coco has by far best CEC of all mediums. Long and short of it CEC is where its at when ph is thrown out and your medium loses its buffering capabilities. Flushing pots through with shit loads of water does nothing what so ever to help that, in fact flushing pots out should always be a last resort hence don`t go OTT with ferts and their should be no need to flush pots out till end of grow when you put them on water only feeds.
Out of interest coir has by far best CEC of all grow mediums which makes it very attractive to growers, quicker faster food uptake = bigger plants = bigger yields
Even tho I'm in soil atm but November i will not be that info is very useful, just couldn't really comment on it. I did original choose coco over soil, soil ok but prefer coco tbh, this is where I'm interested in the difference between coco and rockwool. as they meant to be awesome with irrigation in their own right
Rockwool has a CEC of zero, so it doesn't alter or limit the availability of cations in the root zone. There’s a possibility for high optimization of the nutrient solution and with little error and if concentration goes out of balance then it’s easy to remedy. Rockwool's WHC is nearly zero. It will quickly drain from maximum saturation and gaps will fill with air once again.
The percentage of unavailable nutrient solution to your plants grown in Rockwool blocks is around 2%.

This is why I love learning new stuff for growing this beautiful plant. my view is if you don't make mistake doesn't matter how small how do you improve as a grower, as it doesn't matter how long you've been doing it for your learning something new every day.
This is why I've done an everyday online diary. when issues happen if they do you can get advice from anyone and then you and others can backtrack to find out how it happens. as it's somewhere in the data, but I do belive that if my environment was off wack you'd still see the problem but much worse.
Ive been talking to luxxlighting about dli and twenty20 Mendocino about vpd like they run it higher than charts recommend as they notice fewer mold issues. touchwood i don't get that.
