Re: First indoor grow 6 diffrent strains
I use a controller yes, with a probe but it's a budget one. If I could make it myself I would lol. It just turns on and off at certain set temps. I don't have anything set up at the moment to show you.Stickylemonz wrote: ↑Wed Jul 07, 2021 1:04 pm@DIY.Rik do they work with a inkbird mate? And me and Ben both use the inkbird plug thing
They are useful those I find when extermely hot so it doesn't burn out although it has a trip switch for if it overheats.
The dimplex one I have states in the instructions to only use it horizontally but I have had it with the controller switch at the bottom so not to burn out the controls. They seem like very robust items.
I would invest in as much insulation as possible. The amount of money saved is unreal. I gre in my old shed for over a year, it certainly taught me well through the experience. The heat I found the hardest, but with lots of kingspan and/or polystyrene packed above the tent I learned to control and make use of the heat, the 25-30 degree heatwave was fun
I also found keeping an eye on the weather helped, although you can throw the plants time/cardian rythym off a bit (the plants clock), I would change the lights on and off to suit going into winter for frosty mornings, so instead of lights off at 5AM in the summer, they would go off at 10AM instead, then by 4PM or 10PM theyu would come back on.
Rambling now anyway
Nice big tent though
