Today is my girls birthday
It wasn't always meant to be this way though, See I've been using up a load of old seeds and had major setbacks all the way, for this grow I germinated all the seeds you see below, Most of which are between 5-10 years old now and haven't been properly stored.
From all those seeds I ended up with the critical+ and this
3 of the deep cheese germinated over a week ago and they are just not growing so in the meantime invested in the blue cheese to get things moving, Less than 3 days later and we've got 5 blue cheese seedlings, Finally.
The critical and deep cheese can just do their thing for the meantime and we will see what happens with them down the line, They won't go to waste.
The plan now is to flower 4 of the cheeses and mother the 5th, Then start the cycle of cloning and ultimately I'd like to be harvesting every 10-12 weeks after that if all goes to plan. Will need to make a drying room somewhere but got a couple of old tents I'm sure I can knock something up.
Now normally I'm an avid nft grower but recently acquired a lot of free equipment of which included a great stack of coco so going all out for my first coco grow.
One thing that has put me off using coco in the past is dealing with runoff in a tent, I just couldn't bring myself to even attempt it and when my friend ignored my requests to buy nft tanks and got coco I was a little peeved.
As if by some miraculous timing I'm browsing the forum one evening and see Ghost93 is using this Rhizosystem that pumps away the runoff for you, Hat tip to you ghost you really made my life a lot easier for this, thanks man,
For a groom I'm using a 3in1 tent.
Mother, Cuttings and one clone will live on this shelf.
While the other 3 clones will live down here under a 4ft t5 eventually.
Four plants will be flowered here.
Under a parabolic with a choice of 250w mh, 400w hps, 600w hps depending on what stage im at
I was lucky enough to be given this 1200w dimmable dual ballast, Most probably only use 600w from it but it's nice to have options.
For nutrients I'll be using the vita link range as used in this chart
With filtered water cos the water round here is crap, Never bothered in the past but decided if it's not good enough for me to drink then it's not good enough for the girls
As you might have noticed in the first photo the blue cheese has rooted out of the cubes so will be potted up very soon, Rather than going into small pots again I'm tempted to put all 5 cheeses into 16L pots and straight into the flowering room under the 250w mh, get the t5 switched off for the time being, What do you all think?
