Chives in the put too? Insect repellent?

You got it in 1. the B&Q verve like alot of soil comes with free fungus gnats so i figure a few chives in pots maybe a couple lavender in the grow space and ill hope for the best lol

If you mix neem cake with your soil, it'll kill the fungus gnat larvae. Haven't seen them at all since I switched to amended soil instead of bagged
Also, nematodes on amazon work wonders. They come in a powdered form that you mix with water

Time for a little update

the Third didnt make it, i think i damaged the taproot when i potted it tbh. The 2 remaining were also almost lost to dampening off and youll notice they have a bit of support still but they are progressing if only slowly

light watering every other day (yes i know not normal soil practice :D )



no roots visible at the bottom of the pots yet but still chugging along happy enough

Still on a cycle of a lil water every other day to maintain a stable moisture level.
Really not too much to report. im kinda thinking about topping soon for something to do



Ive had their potting up mix half mixed for a few weeks. ill probably add a few more bits and bobs tomorrow and then put the soil into pots with a further cover crop, ready to be potted into in 7-21 days (really not rushing these just as and when they get there)
