Hey all,

We're 21 days into the flowing cycle now and everything is looking sweet. I've halfed the Alga-C, swapped over to the Alga bloom and I'm now halfing the silicon too. I'm also adding green sensation starting from today.

They're a little taller that I would of liked them to be but I can manage em (I think). I'm quite sure I'm now at the end of the stretching.

Everything is looking nice and healthy and the buds seem to be coming along as expected. Here's a breakdown of what I'm feeding. I'm giving them 2ltrs of solution every 2 days atm.

1/2ml Bio Silicon
1ml Green Sensation
4ml Alga bloom
2.5ml Alga-C

Hey GR420,

Just checking in for the weeky update. These girls are right on track and looking awesome. I'm still unsure about how close they are too the light. No signs of heat stress as of yet but I'm keeping a close eye.

They seem to be shedding the lower leaves. This wasn't a thing when growing from seed but the canopy wasn't as thick and lightnwas getting through. This time it's not so I wonder if thats the reason why. Has anyone had this happen before? I'm 99% sure it's not nutrients as I'm giving them 4ml/ltr of feed every watering. The buds are filling out and the canopy looks healthy so I'm not too worried atm.

Feed has stayed the same as before. I'm going to drop out the silicon next week and the seaweed ~42day in.

Of course GMO, I'll update the thread later with some photos. Should of done that in the previous update for a second opinion.

If I had to describe it, they don't really show signs of issue. I just noticed a few leaves on the floor and when I looked at the bottom of thr plant, I noticed that a couple of lower leaves just dropped of into my hand when I touched them. It was like the petiole had already separated from the stem?

Sounds like natural shedding tbh, did they seem kinda limp and tho still fairly green it's abit less vibrant and kinda mat?

Most just looked like normal leaves but fell off. There was a couple that had fell down and had dried out and the odd one was slightly yellow almost like it was showing signs on N def. I'm pretty sure it's natural shedding. The canopy is thick AF and I don't like to remove shade leaf unless I have to so there's hardly any light getting to the bottom of the plant now. They're starting to really get going now and I reckon they're dumping their lower leaves to maximize bud production. I've read it's a thing? The other thing it may be is that they're drinking a shed load of water this time. A few times I've been to check moisture levels and it's been prety dry in the media. They don't droop or anything but when I poke my finger about 1/2 inch down it's bone dry. I've read plants can shed their bottom leaves due to drought stress too. I've upped the watering to 2.5ltr and monitoring daily.

That being said, I've also been reading about inproving terpene production in cannabis and I've been hearing you need to show them your pimp hand every so often. A bit of stress encourages and increases terpes.

You got it covered mat. I have read similar as well and I've had strains that would just shed leaves as it progressed almost no matter what I would do (bar pgrs )

Also, these kind of boarder line stresses are actually shown to increase certain types of production during flower like N deprivation helping boost terps (as we discussed in chat yesterday, but noted for anyone else reading along)

Random question out of personal interest are you using anything with chitin?

I don't believe I am GMO. I'm not sure if it's in the green sensation but I doubt it and it's not one of the polysaccharides found in ascophyllum nodosum? I believe that can be found in crustacean meal though? I've just read used in conjunction they can reduce the chance of disease by triggering certain genes in the plant.
