Quick-Qube sponsored grow - Agent Orange and Disco Biscuit

Post by Keeno »

Wassup GR420

Our sponsors Green-Qube have very kindly offered to let several of our growers do grow outs in their grow tents. Ill be kicking things off with a 2.4 x 1.2 x 2.0m. The Quick-Qube range dont come in 2.0m but the Quick-Qube frame is has adjustable height so the wizards at Green-Qube sent me the frame and a normal Green-Qube shell.

The tent was very simple and fast to set up. I was amazed at the simplicity putting it up, literally unbox stand up and pull the frame into shape. The frame is lighter than i expected to. I have nothing but good things to say about it.

There are many reasons i can see for these tents replacing what we all have used for years. We all know tents are not easy to get up and down, some of us have to do this in a hurry, this was up in no time and i didn't break a sweat doing it. For me there is no argument to use a standard grow tent again. There are few parts, you could put this up without instructions. For people who struggle for whatever reason you wont have to using these tents. The frame is very strong yet lightweight, it will take whatever kit you have. Ill be replacing my other tent frame with one of the Quick-Qube frames. In my opinion these are the future of grow tents.

After setting up my shiny new tent i got to work adding a rhizo system, since using this in my other set up i fell in love, it makes life so much easier feeding. I didn't get the full system, only the drain part, ill be using the handy dripper set up Bulls showed me years ago.

I then added my Agent orange, these arr ready for flip so i added a support net and flattened them. These are under 600w dual spec on 12/12.

Update

Wassup GR420. Its been one hell of a busy week but ive managed to get the disco into the tent. Ive now been living with the Quick-Quube for a week and im as in love with it as when i set it up. I have nothing bad to say about it.

My AO are now 1 week into flower, the Disco are have just gone in so a couple into flip. Ive been tucking the AO under the support net, this was never meant to be a scrog but she grew a foo in a week so she needed it. The disco i flattened under a net also, these are much lower. Its shown me i veg for to long, i can fill the 1.2 x 1.2 area much faster than i normally do.

Feed for both is 0.25ml per liter pk 13/14, 0.5ml per liter a and b. PH is set to 6.0 first day, it rises in the resw so i set to 6.1, day 2 of feed, 6.2 day 3.

Temps have been a nightmare, because im having to run a dehumidifier in the building 24/7 its adding to it. These have been over 30c since they went in, topped out at 38 2 days ago but normally around 33c. They seem to be coping well enough. RH is around 60%.

ram louvre fans, they are the bigger fans in the pictures. The front oscillates, blows air all overt the tent. No one area gets blasted constantly and unlike normal oscillating fans that left and right only these blow 360 degrees. Lovely fans.

Update

Approaching week 2 for the Agent Orange, week 1 for the Disco Biscuit. This Agent orange has got a rocket up its ass, i tucked them flat at week 1 and they are nearly a foot again, over that in some places. The AO is also starting to crown. Ill be tucking the Disco flat at 1 week and then letting them go. Currently both strains are coping with temps above 30c lights off and lights on, not ideal but zero i can do about it atm. RH is in the 70's, but ill move the dehumidifier over soon.

Feed for both is currently 0.25ml per liter pk 13/14, 0.5per liter canna coco a and b. Ill be giving them both a foliar spray of epsom salts tomorrow.

Update

The AO is now in week 2 and fluffing up a treat. Im genuinely enjoying growing this strain, its so different from my normal short stocky plants, its got me that buzz back, i find myself checking on them as i normally do but just staring at them. What a beauty she is turning out to be.

The Disco in now week 1, she got flattened in the net again and she will now be left to go mad.

Ive got them both on 600w dual spec lighting. Temps have been high but they dont seem fazed.

Ill be running a product ive not used before on this one. Ive been trying to find a replacement for my beloved hammerhead to run from week 2 to flush. I made the mistake on my exo grow of going for a flashy bottle and not doing my research and ended up with something that was overkill. Having actually looked at something that will be more inline with what im used to and looking at ratios ive come across a product called Rocks resinator. This product contains no pgr`s and is supposed to increase bud size, increase terpine production and resin production. But more importantly for me its very close to hammerhead 4/10 in npk values, so im hoping it will be more of what i used to using. time will tell. Ive started this on week 2 of the ao, as i would have with hammerhead, ive also gone in lower than recommended dose.

Feed:

Agent orange - 0.5ml per liter Rocks Resinator, 0.5ml canna coco a and b. PH set to 6.1.

Disco Biscuit - 0.25ml PH 13/14, 0.5ml canna coco a and b. PH set to 6.1.

Both strains are now getting 5 liters per pot per day.
