She will fatten up buddy. You got another 5 weeks at least to go.
Could not agree more Bulls...still a long ways to go. She only started week 5 yesterday. I am gonna guess she will be done on week 8-10, cannot wait to get her done so I can start the new scrog. No place for seedlings to grow or get started so I have to wait until this one is done.

Seen your harvest, man what a number! I can only dream...looking forward to the next.

Thanks for stopping! Oh, any update on those other beans/mug?

Cheers!

Hey everyone! It has been a while since I posted. Been away due to illness...but we are back and we are full force!!!

So had a issue with the plant when my wonderful other half helped out while I was in hospital. She accidently placed the bucket on top of my airstone air line and the plant never had any direct oxygen for 4 days or so. Just sitting in still water...so that meant more slime issues...god love her for trying and helping, not one big upset at her, shit happens. Roots are cleaned off and slime is gone again.

Now yesterday I received a gift from a worker who I had no idea was even into this stuff. We struck a conversation and one thing led to the next. I then found out he used HPS lighting, and told him my history with LED.

Next thing I know he leaves work, drives home and was waiting in his car outside work for me with a surprise. He donated his older 1000W HPS Ballast and HPS lamps. Blown away!

I set it up and wow wow wow, that light is wayyyy more intense than LED. It gets hot in that room now. Gotta figure a way to get temps down and I have a idea but time will tell. Temps are hitting up to 33C so if I can drop about 6 degrees I will be fine. It is in a sealed room with no windows so I got some playing to do.

Here are a couple updated photos of the Widow! We are in week # 6 of flower. Got a couple weeks to go. With this added light I am really hoping the last 2 weeks when she starts to fatten up that she will just explode on me.

Here is what we got so far - Pics taken last night

Evening IG, good to hear your back up to scratch..

Fair play to her for helping, shitter about the airline but shit happens to us all at some point a :(. I'd be worried to death with my Mrs coz fuck she can be real hard work at times lol.

Nice one with the ballast and bulb, cant go wrong :), you need to see the difference between HPS and a Gavita, they are sooooo intense its mad, my best buy i think :).
Shame it messes with the temps though, i won't be growing in the summer as our place is so hot it ent worth the stress i dont think :(, would be nice to have a LED like Busters build but not got the funds to build one let alone store it when it ent being used. Shame as i can get discount on all the parts i reckon as my good friend works for some lighting place, may have to get him to price it all up for me just so i got a idea i suppose :).

She's looking nice and frosty, hope she's a belter :).

Yes it is a shame that the heat goes up, but I do have a plan. Spoke with another grower and he gave me instructions on making a cooler for my room. Big res with water, and a fan will cause my room to get cooler. Then the air intake will take that cool air in the tent. Should help by knocking off 4-6 degrees which is all I really need.

Cant wait to try this light out from veg to bloom in a scrog. Waiting on some beans to arrive and then we start after this gets chopped!

Can't believe this journal is almost complete. Still a few weeks to go and hopefully she makes it to then!

Smoke em if ya got em!

That's pretty much what i had to do to cool my marine tank down, the problem i then had was the salt build up over the wall lol.

Sure your enjoy it from start to finish when you got you results in :).

Not long now, she will be fine i'm sure :).

Sorry to hear you've been unwell buddy.
Hope you're feeling better now! You're lucky you got missus to look after the plants. If I leave mine to the missus they will be dead within a few days. The widow is looking rally nice and frosty. What are the others?

Thanks Bulls!

The widow is getting frosty, its crazy how white she is under the canopy.

I have some pots setup and ready to go for the Scrog. I will be starting that once the widow is harvested and I receive the other seeds I was missing.

The plant you see growing next to the Widow is a King Tut Autoflower, thats why she is in the room with 12/12 lighting. Not really concerned about it where its autoflower and lighting schedule dont make that much of a difference for them. When the Widow is done and the scrog is started, the lights will go back to 18/6 and will be all photoperiod plants with exception of that 1 autoflower.

So far the plant seems to like the new HPS lighting and I do notice it bulking up much more over the past 2 days using that light vs the LED, so I am hoping the results are just as good. The tops are getting big and the swell hasn't even really kicked in yet. Cylax are not visible and I expect to see them swell this week or by end of next.

Thanks for checking i!

Not much has been happening in the room. The temps seem to have went down and stayed down to the 25C highest it has been the last 72 hours was 26 C. Nothing changed, the bulb is a older bulb and I did order a new one just to be sure all is good.

Either way we are still waiting on the swell to happen. I dont see the buds swelling, or at least any visible cylax swelling.

Hairs are either orange/red
Trichomes are either clear or cloudy with exception to the leaves which are cloudy/amber but I am not paying attention to the trichomes on leaves, going by the bud only.

Today we start week #8 (Day 50 of Flower). The last plant I grew the swelling happened during week 6-8 and this time I am doing a Hydro grow, not sure if that makes any difference.

Also the plant has NOT started to change color of the leaves yet. All leaves are green, no signs of any fall colors, but I am guessing when I force the flush on her I will probably see a difference...or maybe not at all...

There are no white hairs visible. All hairs on plant have turned orange/dark red as I said above.

Here are some photos from the past few days I snapped

Hello buddy. Looking really good in there. Glad to hear all the stats are in range too. How long are you taking the Widow? I would suggest you to take her at least 11 weeks and you will have a banging smoke buddy.
