Hey gang! If your still alive then I got a update...

As you know I have been battling with the roots. I was in a pretty tight spot where I though they would die at some point, but the tops just looks very good with no signs of bad health.

I was not seeing a whole lot of change on the roots for the week I was adding H2O2, even after rinsing the roots it was a slow process to remove the slime.

Things are looking much better. There is still a ways to go to get them in great shape, but they are producing new white roots, and the tops are flowering with no signs of death!

I wasn't going to post this image of my roots. Being my 1st Hydro ever I just wanted to read how I can prevent and fix the issue rather than showing everyone how bad this actually was. Below you will see the before and after of the roots. The after shot was taken yesterday

Here is our White Widow in flower mode. She was not showing a lot of white hairs/tops when I took the photos in my previous post. But 4 days later she is developing very nicely! Sorry for the slot with the LED's on, never had a chance to take her out during the time I was in there with her.

Roots could be healthier and I am working on it, but they could be a whole lot worse as well. No signs of root rot or slime on her anymore and I hope to keep it that way. Now if they will just start growing more :)

So things are about to get super crazy in my house...I mean crazy!!!

All them extra hours I worked over Christmas has paid off and I have invested in a brand new system for growing. I will still have my Hydro setup available and maybe use that for growing mother plants/breeding in the current 2.5 X 2.5 tent

So..what did I get?

4' X 4' X 5' Grow Tent
5 X 3Gallon Smart Pots
5KG Coco Coir Bricks
SCROG net
G.H. CaliMagic
G.H. Rapid Start Root Branching Formula
G.H. Rapid Rooter Plugs
Automatic Watering System with digital timer

Going to be a scrog of 4 plants, all grown in coco. Items will be arriving this week, and once I get my winning beans in the mail the show is on!

Hey everyone!!

Back for another update. Few things happened and 1 huge mistake..keep reading....

I received my order all except the automatic watering system, few more days before arrival.

I have had some new growth with the White Widow I got growing, the buds are starting to get developed, the tops are fuzze and getting a little bigger as each day goes by. I have no idea how this will yield, I will be happy with anything close to 1 ounce. With all the root problems I had, its doubtful.

Here is a few updated photos of the girl...

The plant has taken a strange shape and I am told its in genetics. There are 2 low branches that are budding, or at least have topw and are a lot lower than the rest. There was no training and this is how she grew. Was debating removing these 2 branches but will leave them there.

The new tent is all setup and shit do I have a lot of room now! Check out all that space

Huge mistake made last night. After I had everything setup and put back into the bit tent, I totally forgot to turn on my air pump for my res. All night it was left with no bubbles or oxygen. There was no issues with the plant, still looked fine, but omg what a scare. It could have been doomsday, and who knows, maybe when I get home from work it will be doomsday!

Thats all for now...smoke em if ya got em!

Hello buddy. Is that the Mars Hydro reflector light? It is quiet far away from plant. Should be betweeen 18-24" from top of the canopy.

Hey Bulls,

No that is not a Mars Reflector. I had one and sold it.

That photo was taken soon as I put the plant in, the light was adjusted to 20" before I closed her up

Morning everyone!

So today is day 28 since switching the lights. Not sure if I wanna count the first week as part of flowering where there were no signs of pistils.

I went in and got a couple photos of her tonight, sorry for the bad color it's taken in the tent, next time I will "hit the lights"

Now if you notice in the 1st picture, you can see that a couple buds are starting to turn orange already. Been reading it can happen if pollination happens, but she is a few weeks in so I am not worried.

She seems pretty healthy so far and I am still fighting with the water temps. Daily feeding of frozen H2O. Only a few weeks to go, learned a lot from this and will have the problem corrected for the next DWC grow :)

Good morning everyone,

Another update with some photos and information.

As you know by reading this journal I have had issues with heat in my res and had some stages of root rot which I seemed to have gotten under control.

Now..I have setup my new grow tent. Its a monster when comparing to my old one. This thing is 4 X 4 X 6

I never had to add any frozen water bottles in the res for almost a week now. The temps in the room are down big time! I am getting a low of 17C and high of 23C

When I checked the water res temps I am getting 19C - 20.4C and no higher

A few things could have done this, either the new tent allowing more space/air without a chance of heat buildup. I also removed my big oscillating fan from the room, and I also covered the pebbles up so no light is getting in. Either way, whatever it was, the room gets chilly now and the res is under control! Onwards and upwards right

Here are some photos taken over the past 24 hours of the plant as its starting bud development. Still no real signs of buds yet, but we have pleanty of hairs! Some hairs have receeded and turned orange already, and was told this is genetics..nothing I am worried about at all compared to what I was dealing with.

Although she is looking good she is NOT smelling yet. There is no odor or smell coming out of that tent yet. Maybe when she starts to pack on some weight and actually start producing buds then we will notice a difference in smell. I can leave the doors open for a couple hours and you wouldnt even know I was growing anything.

For now, here are some shots of the beast. She looks yummy!

How many weeks you at mate?
The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.

I flipped the switch on December 25th that puts me at 4 weeks in

I dont usually start counting weeks until I see hairs forming on the plant, so depending which side of the fence you are on it is either week 3 or week 4 of flower
