Good luck with these Smokey, lovely setup and you look well prepared for the grow. I will be keeping a close eye.

Why thank you I was going to message you today anyway pal my tap water is pH 5.7 / 5.8 out of the tap ec is 0.1 its blowing my mind this cannot be right can it ? i have calibrated my ec pen twice now although i don't have any ec calibration fluid as my ec pen never shifted before I either one lucky dudeson or somethings severely wrong plants look ok though, Thoughts ?????

The ph of your tap water surely can not be correct. I think it is normally between 6.5 to 8.0 might be wrong as it does vary from different area's. Do you have 2 ph pens smokes? try calibrating the pen at buffer 7 then use buffer 4 and check the reading of course it should read 4. It could be your ph pen needs cleaning warm soapy water is good for this just leave it to stand it in for 12-24hrs then rinse off under the tap. recalibrate using both buffer 7 and 4 should be good to go then.

I use both BlueLab pens pal and I checked the ph pen started with buffer 7 it read 7.1 so re calibrated then checked it against the buffer 4 that read 4 bang on i was going to ask you actually as I’m afraid to use a strong detergent on them or do you think they will be ok ???

I just use abit of fiary liquid works well tbh. Yes i use the Bluelab as well but i have a essential pen as well for back up. when i check my feed i sometimes use both they might be a point out from each other at times. But atleast you know your in the correct range and nothing strange is happening to your ph pen if you get my meaning. Just gives you peace of mind.

oh and if your water is acidic it will be soft.

In fact I still have the boxes for the pens and they came with cleaning solutions etcthat I’ve not used yet and these wipes I’ll clean them with those but glad the fair works well to for future preferences that’s a great idea re a cross reference spare pen I don’t think I’ll get another blue lab though she’d never let me buy another one took me 6 months to convince I needed BlueLabs lol thanks for your advice K very much appreciated

Still a very very tough decision dude lol i'd love to see a Chemdawg run tbf, not seen one that i can recall but then i do love cheese and Kush glad im not in your shoes actually lol

Both pens having a dip see if we can get to the bottom of these readings, just plain fairy liquid then I’ll rinse and clean with the BlueLab cleaning kit
