Re: First proper coco run with Don Bullioni in the driving seat!
Evening jason. Ive not actually mixed it with perlite, i started the cuts in soil that was mixed with perlite then transplanted the 5 inch pot into the 10 liter coco. I wanted to take cats and get them rooting as i knew they would take time to re veg while i got this set up together. Ive cleaned most of the perlite out now. Thanks for popping in.JasonBourne wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2018 11:43 pmLooking good Keeno. Yiure lucky to have mentor like bulls. Just seen his disry and his tent is bout to xplode. Re: First proper coco run with Don Bullioni in the driving seat!
Update
Ive been flowing Bulls instructions. We have set EC to 5.6 and working with a ratio of 1ml A and B per liter, 1ml silicone per liter and 2ml rhizzo per liter. This has come out at 1.3 EC. Ive also given them 2 soakings of plant magic magncal at 2ml per liter. Its doesnt seem to be doing the job of actual epsom salts so ive got some ordered and they will be getting another go with that. Im following Bulls to the finest detail, this includes training, its different from what i do but i havent had a good grow in a while and Bulls rather annoyingly hasnt had a bad one since he started :D.
Ive used pipe cleaners to tie them down, one is still a little slow on the re veg but getting there. Ive got em nice and low as you will see. Im enjoying everything so far barring the PH dosing, the pen has nearly bounced off the bedroom wall a couple of times but ill get there in the end
.

Re: First proper coco run with Don Bullioni in the driving seat!
Update
I've spoken to Bulls and we are continuing the same atm. 1ml silicon, 2ml rhizotonic, 1ml A and 1ml B per litre. This brings EC to 1.3. I'm knocking up 20 litre at a time, feeding 2 litres to each plant every day. The bloody Epsom salts didn't arrive so I went out to find some today, they will be getting a soaking with that at 1 teaspoon per litre of water. I think they have darkened a bit over nigh but the plant magic mag n cal defo isn't doing the job it used to.

Re: First proper coco run with Don Bullioni in the driving seat!
I use the Botanicare calmag plus really does a good job when needed K. Has a ratio of 2.0.0 so gives a little extra N plus the calcium ,magnesium and iron.
Very handy if your ph goes a little wayward in the coco and you start to get mag def that can happen in coco, gives you time to get the balance back with out affecting plants to much. You can also use it as a precaution foliar feed as the plants can often become more hungry for calcium magnesium at different time's during there life cycle. Got to be careful not over do it as well so no more than 2 folair feeds in one week.
Epsom salts is great stuff and cheap to buy but on occasions you just need that little extra.

Re: First proper coco run with Don Bullioni in the driving seat!
Thank you for the info kbag. I am going to find and order the botanicare calmag plus now. The Plant Magic stuff seems not to be doing the job. But as soon as you spray them with Epsom salts (you should live in a hard water area 0.4+) it does the job.
