I have all 5 seedlings popping out the coco. One of the seedlings was slow to tap root and real slow to pop it's head and then comes out with the seed carcass stuck to the cotyledons. i mixed up some water and rhizo and sprayed every hour as adviced by Keeno. On the second spray most of the carcass fell off, she looks a little worse for wear but hopefully she will make it now.

Sure i updated the thread the other day, i can remember uploading the pics to postimage oh well lets try again :D .
Well i have put them under the prakasa now and installed the inkbird and heater to keep temps at 25C.
Also i have put the T5 in for side lighting. Will be potting 4 of these up to tomorrow into 10l air pots, one will be later as the roots or plant as your see in the pics is not ready. I hope i have timing right for transplanting to air pots as these are auto's.

For seasoned growers potting up is just a normal practice, but for the new grower that has not done it before can be a little daunting. I thought i would show you the way i do it, the method is the same for both coco and soil.
I am using 10l air pots but the same applies for any pot.
First of all make sure the pots are clean i normally just use hot water and a bit of elbow grease.
Then as i fill the pots i bang the pots on the ground surface to take air pockets and firmly but not hard push the substrate down.I bang the pots and push the substrate down roughly about every 1/4 of the way up.
I do this until roughly it is full enough so when i put the old pot in the coco or soil it is level with the new.

I then leave the pot in the required position and continue to fill the pot. Once filled i slide the pot out and have the perfect hole for my plants new home.

I then take the plant i am going to transfer and with my two fingers support the plant and substrate. I then turn it upside down and gently bang the edge of the pot on the new pot. the pot falls away leaving you with the whole plant and substrate intact.

Then all you do is place the plant in that hole that was left by the old pot. After you have placed the plant in the hole just gently push the substrate around the roots to take out any air pockets.
If in coco you water in with the same feed as you were before transplanting, in soil you only use plain water.
Obviously you can use such things as Great White, Roots Accelerator , Rhizotonic Etc, but i would certainly advise no feed in soil as it will contain a fresh lot nutrients already in the soil. Some soils can be quiet rich with feed that can last weeks for a plant.

That’s a nice root mass for such a small plant, thanks for showing us how you do I know my first transplant was pretty traumatic on me and the plant
