hi herb no sign of the seeds i reckon there lost,so tonight i upset tina as we are skint but i ordered a single tangerine dream a single acapulco gold and a single charging rhino and theres a silver haze freebie it just means i shall have to be careful and ensure i get clones in early and use the veg cab as it was intended rather than flowering in it! so today i spent an hour or 2 on revamping the original drobe i have stripped cleaned and painted the inside white and managed to lift the drobe with careful use of the car jack and got it on some furniture mover wheels so i can move it about all on my own (its very heavy wood) i got some wetroom liner material similar to what i used in the veg cab and has worked very well so im going to make a liner for the bottom half sealed and good and solid and better than crappy black plastic things from the hydro shop that cracked and break after a couple of uses.
i also have been wiring up a decent climate control system which also switches heater on and off when needed doing away with me having to remember to switch heater myself as i have forgot several times and temps plumet quick once lights are out,got to go buy some insulation esp for the rear panel as its thinner board and lets sound out a bit,i be glad when ive something growing again! cheers and pics will be tomorrow,peace all

Yeh mate that dehydrator is the sort I was looking at, gonna grab one for sure. Might have a go at doing some fruit in it also Good luck with the grow!

hi marcus i feel bad doing that as jimmi gave me a whole bunch of seeds most of which got used but the rest got fecked up and i was sad as there was some good genetics and none of them survived the cooking they got! i do have a few packs of autos but tbh i find them lacking for making oil there not as productive as a good photoperiod plant and they are such a time consumer for a one off grow.
well today i removed the rvk and ducting stripped the rvk cleaned 10 years worth of dust and crap out of it and will get new ducting as well and this time im fitting an active intake using a cheap solar fan so it only come on when the lights are on and makes use of the wasted light from the edge with the plugs and timers etc,free power! also got speaker cloth nice and dark but air flows well and it should stop so much dust getting in the drobe,shocked me when i washed a bunch from the previous harvest and water was dark grey!
its very odd the drobes all being switched off,first time in over 10 years that rvk is from 2012 and still good condition once cleaned and serviced,take care.

ive made dog treats,dried wild mushrooms and it works very well for weed what more could you need?they do some ring things like spacers so you can fit larger stuff in there main thing is not to overfill it or it wont work half as well,a useful cheap tool for me,cheers

hi dex thanks for the offer but i have enough seeds to last me a good while now,@Herbalist sent me a bunch and i bought some singles from lsc ,good old tangerine dream and its been too long without the tangie in the drobes hopefully its my favorite phenotype but time will tell,just got to wait for the coco to come now! today i did a lot more work on the drobe and built a silencer box for the rvk which i serviced and it seems to work perfect still for a 2012 rvk which has been on nonstop for about 8 years its going to be loads quieter now and ive ordered acoustic ducting for the extraction and made nice fine dark mesh covers for the intakes.
also plant to build another decent climate control system for the original drobe as its only had a very limited one which is not capable of controlling the heater,i shall get some pics up tonight when im done fixing it up,cheers

Sometimes simple really is best. Those old rvk fans are bullet proof. I still use mine for odd jobs in the summer to cool me off, or with a spare filter while I'm decarbing or making oil. I wonder how my ec fan will stand to the test of time. Has been running constantly for about 3 years now and no issues yet. If something was to break on it, it would probably be the controller I'd imagine.
