Making plans with a stoner is like being with a prostitute. They tell you they’re coming, but you know it’s a lie.

Re: Marcus has an Irritable Owl Diary-rhoea
Cheers Herb.
Well, this one is being a bit of a branchy bugger.
Them are 4ft stakes BTW and she's maybe slowing down now. Fingers crossed.
Still on about 1ml and a squirt/L of A+B, still green, EC is about 0.6 and I;m not phing but it's coming good at 6.3-6.5 most buckets.
I must have forgotten to get a pic of the other one. I'll do that tomorrow.

Re: Marcus has an Irritable Owl Diary-rhoea
On the new light menu mate, I've just ordered me a new maxibright 315w cdm with philips argo flowering bulb. Looks to have a good vibe with reviews so i dived in, got it a knockdown prce too £125 all in from local hydro store. From looking around and reading up the cdm used alongside an LED is the top bollox. So its see how we go hey.

I swear I must be going mad, but my CMH runs cooler than my LED. I'd love to run led and cmh side by side in the tent, but I'm in a teeny tiny closet right now so that'll not happen till I get my arse in gear and grab a big tent. My issue is my room is 2m 38cm at it's widest and all these tents come in at 2m40.
I am looking for a 2m one but it'll be a brand of tent that I already own and I would never touch another one of those. Just disintegrated on me from day 1 and I've only used it 3 times.
I best get a piccy of the other one too...
Cuts straight into coir and left on the bedside cabinet... (next to my dead dogs ashes)
Branches on branches on branches... Only meant to have 8 tops on this and look at the lunatic!

Re: Marcus has an Irritable Owl Diary-rhoea
My closet flowering cupboard is only 110cm 55cm sq. I'll run 100watter invisible sun by its side when in full bloom.
How log does the Philips cdm bulbs last on average those are not cheap ?
Also are cdm a bigger fire risk than summink like a hps or led ?
Cheers.

Mines (i think) 170cm x 55cm. I have the fan and filter and the waste pipe for the shitter run through there too, so it's not far off the same size as yours.2-Scoops wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 11:51 amMy closet flowering cupboard is only 110cm 55cm sq. They say to change the bulbs out every year, but meh... I'll change it when it dies I suppose.
Bigger fire risk? I'll say if hps and cmh were to go bang, the cmh bulbs have a UV lens over the main bulb lens. So I'd say they're less of a risk. But I dunno.

Hi Duke, how you doing?duke wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 8:15 pmhi marcus it looks like you have some sat dom genetics there! ive been offline for a while and just got it back looks like business as usual at your house some severe neck breaking and/or a scrog net is my answer to those lanky feckers! i hope you are well and as nuts as ever?im worse than ever full on nutjob now,,,
Yes they're both narrow leaf types, the lanky branchy one is a Mexican x Hawaiian sativa cross... Oaxacan Gold x Kona Gold. I have 4 cuts of that rooted if you need something to fill a cubby?
The other is a cross of a Thai Chiang Mai x (Kali Mist x China Yunnan)... HUGE leaves on that one (I'll grab some pics in the morning - I've been in the garden trimming rot out of my outdoor auto and am covered in bugs probably
I've fallen down a rabbit hole with Mexican (Oaxaca) types from the late 70s and the 80s. So blissful and can make any cold wet grey day feel like a sunny 30*C by the beach kinda day. Perfect for the Welsh weather.
And I'll see if the Thai influenced one tickles my fancy in a few months, she stinks that stink that only a stink can stink already when I move a stalk. I need to take cuts of that, but I topped her for 8 branches and the lower 4 branches have decided they don't want to grow, so they may make cuts if they get a little wriggle on before she flowers.
They're only getting to about 1m60 in the cubby, the CMH is at 2m something, so still some headroom for them.
Putting 20ml A+B in a bucket of 16L getting to EC of 0.7 and ph of 6.4, so no need to ph up or down. I'm happy with that and they seem so too. (so far!)
Cheers dude!

Re: Marcus has an Irritable Owl Diary-rhoea
Getting 2L a day run through them at ec 0.7-ish and ph of whatever-ish.
It's coir, so it's wet.
Temps at 30*C-ish... DLI and PPFD at I don't give a fuck-ish.
Mountain Gold

Thai Chi

Healthy looking so far. Just the right colour green for me and not a leaf out of place.
Just how we like it.
Fingers crossed for calm seas all the way to chop.
