Re: WRH and HRH next indoor grow
Looking in great shape @Wrh. You don't see the glow of an HPS often nowadays. I read an interesting research paper the other day where they concluded that HPS actually produced much higher yields than LED consistently. The LED outperformed the HPS for THC content though. I've always said the perfect light source would be a hybrid if the two. I'm convinced LED still have something missing. A certain je ne sais quoi :) nice work!

I concur !! The HPS outweighed my led lamps.seymore_budz wrote:Looking in great shape Wrh. You don't see the glow of an HPS often nowadays. Other studies are proving the UV rays from led are causing cancer in people.

Re: WRH and HRH next indoor grow
I've been trying leds for a couple of years now and yhey work ok for vegging and are cheaper to run than a metal halide but after the stretch is over a hps just seems to work better I'm seriously considering only using leds uptil 3 weeks into 12 /12 and then going back to hps for the rest of the grow as a permanent thing I can't get the environment anywhere near where it needs to be with the leds cheers for looking in mateseymore_budz wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2023 10:29 pmLooking in great shape @Wrh. Re: WRH and HRH next indoor grow
my best ever scrog harvest came from a hps/led combo 250w hps and 250w qb led this was with photoperiods as i find autos do not do as well for me using led,i do have also some 70w mh which if i use 2 give the perfect winter temps and used 24hr for autos are even cheaper to run electric than the qb led.seymore_budz wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2023 10:29 pmLooking in great shape @Wrh. Re: WRH and HRH next indoor grow
This week's update I've taken out the ish 135 br eclipse and swapped it for the mars hydro ts 1000 the plants just don't like the eclipse even at 100 watts it's too powerful for the plants I won't try and use it during the flowering stage again . I've dropped the feed to 2 ml per litre of canna a and b , the bubble gum which is the one under the led is starting to catch up with the other 2 and hopefully will be happier now I've swapped the light

Re: WRH and HRH next indoor grow
Yes i also always run a combo of HPS and LED in flower just to get the full colour spectrum and to get me that yield with added oomph. Seems to be doing jobby ok.seymore_budz wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2023 10:29 pmLooking in great shape @Wrh. You don't see the glow of an HPS often nowadays.
