I like to use things in sulphate form for this reason. Depending on budget iron sulphate is something I use often as well. Another thing i forgot to mention is keep your egg shells as we will burn those. If you have a place for it and can afford get some comfrey growing we will use it in fertilizer. Have a look at a diy worm farm if you can. I imagine your community garden has composting worms, ask em for a handful to get you started.
Thanks. Have started using the potassium now. It came with a scoop in the pack and have followed directions to mix.
Ill keep the eggshells from now and look at a worm farm.

Have started collecting all kitchen scraps now. Looking at getting a cheap compost bin from gumtree to start with.
What does the iron sulphur do?
Thanks Hobbit

Iron sulphate helps lower ph. Iron also makes things green, thats why leafy greens are a good source of iron. Sulphur lowers ph but is also used in flower production. Thats why ferts you buy specifically for fruiting are higher in sulphur. I wouldn't buy a compost bin, they are rubbish. I get offered them all the time when people realize they are rubbish.
Get your self a pallet from an industrial estate and make one. The one in my organics thread take ya about 10 mins to knock up.
How old are those autos now then?

Ok good idea to know for sure especially with autos. Just put a paddle pop stick or cut up a 2ltr milk bottle for date tags. Be a good idea to still do it for your flowering dates.
