I received a package, from my brother, who was in Hawaii. Year was 1973 and I was newly wed and living in Detroit, MI. I pulled the brown paper off the package and it was a box of Fruit Loops cereal. I found a package inside consisting of several layers of plastic wrap and tape with a few skinny green buds with tons of red pistils. We had never seen anything like it. Sinsemilla! There was a note from Randy saying "roll two J's and smoke half at a time. We hadn't seen each other in a few years since he joined the Navy. I figured he thought I was a light-weight. I called my other brother and told him and he came right over. I did as my brother said and rolled two of the smallest pinners ever. My wife, my brother and I smoked half of the first J. Couple tokes at most.

We waited maybe 5 minutes and looked at each other and thought, "this ain't shit". A couple minutes later my wife says, "who wants a beer?" We all did......nobody could get up and get them from the refrigerator. True "couch-lock".

So, my favorite is Hawaiian Sinsemilla circa 1973. Second place = Sticky Papaya (made you lose time)

Don’t really have a great story like grumpy did, but I remember when one of my favorite times was having a seller on the West Coast and we were the buyer in Ohio.

Blue dream, GG4, SFV OG, green crack… oh, and Girl Scout cookies. Can’t forget those. I had so many choices all at cost.

No sense in incriminating myself any further. But that was my random thought when I read the thread.

I don't have a favorite smoke per-say. I'd be lying if I said one variety ticked every box. But, the best all-round variety I've ever owned was pretty 2k Euphoria from Dutch Passion. It was skunky, it flowered in 50 day, it grew humongous buds caked in crystal and it was super easy to grow and clone. That plant was a beast! A variety commercial farmers have wet dreams about.

Sadly, I lost her after someone tried to kick my door in and steal my grow. Luckily they didn't manage to gain entry, but I had to clear out real quick, gave some cuttings to a few people and they all managed to kill them :(

If I think back, there have been many strains that if I had today, I'd be wiping the floor with the current US crap.

For me I keep going on about this strain and all ways have it in my tub and cannot seem to find one similar to what it does for me.

The strain is called painkiller by Dr underground I came across it by chance looking for lemon strains

At the time I was searching the epidural had worn out and my back was in bits and I had nerve damage on my thigh from the epidural and its a time when my mental health was dropped so low i don't wanna get into how I felt but very low imagine a working shire horse being cooped up and not able to work a day in its like again..

I came across painkiller and was just hoping for pain relief so I grew it and tried it.. I had a spliff and had some brownies made from the hash and decided to go for the dreaded shopping with the wife (any man understands the shopping with wife part lmao)

My pain was numbed a little because I had this like body buzz but the main thing it did for me was my mood it made me not care at all about how I'm am fooked for life with 3 bulged lower lumbar disc's which is not operable because its a wear and tear and I have to live with it until discs prolapse and the fact that God just blessed me with my second son and will never be able to have a kick about with em. And most likely be a cripple when discs eventually prolapse.

Man that lemon juice or painkiller ticked all the boxes from pain, no depression (I just kept singing they call me mellow yellow) and got me thinking of ideas like opened my mind and made me active.

I always have painkiller in my tub for when I relapse with depression and winter nights. But I swear I haven't found a strain that has done that for me yet and I mainly choose lemon terp strains because after research its lemon terps does what I explained above but nothing compares ime.

There is my little story with painkiller and who ever goes thro depression or currently stressed I'd advise lemon strains and please keep your heads up because there is always a way out even if you are effed for life/ the illness is a life sentence.

Euphoria- many years ago when we 1st started growing a pal grew Euphoria which we named Eunice. We'd been out for a Sunday lunchtime drink then thought we'd try the Euphoria. I was feeding a neighbours cat as they were away, so myself & pals wife went to feed the cat.
We were only gone 10 mins max, & on the return @Wrh & pal, were completely shit faced. Not just hammered but really hammered, it was really good.
That , AK47 & LSD are the ones that put me on my arse.
