One of the NepJam x (Violeta x Sandstorm) has started to yellow up, so I took her out of the wilma and let her dry up a bit.
She's stopped drinking and that's a good sign to me that these are ripening to that point where I like them.
SO I busted out the daft camera and a torch and managed to have a pokey at a lower bud...

50/50 Clear cloudy I'd say.

PERFECT!!!

I'll have a move around in there at the weekend and try to photo some of the other plants up close, but they may all be down at the same time. Or I could try and let her go for another week, as the other NepJam cross is foxytailing all lovely like and I recon could go on for another 2 weeks if I really really wanted to.

Well, the predator mites have done fuck all.

Basically One Stop Grow Shop are sending out empty packets of predator mites. I can;t find a single one under the scope! Wankers.

Anyway, to kill or leave em for a week is the dilemma. The plants are gonna be fucked if I do leave them.

I;m also worried about carrying any bugs into the seedlings I've got on the go. :strangling:

Meh, fuck growing I think.

What about giving that jazzy water bug like killer called Mighty Wash a go, tis said no chemicals or anything in it just water only they have jazzed up with an electric charge or summink like that, think its just ionized water but then again what do i know, but it can be used right to chop. Might be worth looking up.

That said looking at buds you might be right thinking get them out now for your new crop, they`re not weeks n weeks away anyhow are they. Do you bomb your room with a bug bomb killer thingi-bob candle when you`ve had them ? Tis summink i do and i never seem to get bugs back straight afterwards.

I've looked into that MightyWash in the past and thought... Snake oil.

The new crop will be in the little cubby in the back bedroom, this one is coming down in the garage for the time being. (That's why I'm asking about fans, this current one will be full of bugs! I'm due a new one too so was looking at a 4inch EC fan n filter, seeing as it's about 55cm x 160cm, but didn't know how noisy they are)

What I am going to do is order a jar of predator mites and hopefully dump them on the plants middle of next week or them mites will just live on the hanging plants and I'm probably at more risk of spreading the buggers to the other room then.

I can;t believe how fast these little fuckers have taken over. I've got webs on leaves now!

I'll dribble a few predator mites around the young plants upstairs too, just to be sure.

No I never bomb my tents/cubby, A good wipe down with ISO and a spray of RAID normally sorts stuff out, I also normally grab some sachets of predators too.. But I've been lax lately and, well, here we are!

I've got to get in and fill the res up later. :rolf: :rolf: :rolf: Oooh fuck am I going to be itching all night! :rolf: :rolf: :rolf:

I recon a problem using predator mites is when you have an infestation of spider-mites in full swing, prolly along lines of by time a predator has eaten ten spidermites the rest of spidermites have already laid a zillion eggs of which a million has hatched. Possibly ?

The predators eat the eggs too and are also laying their own eggs.

Some of the reviews I've read on this here internet of the predators I've ordered are saying they cleaned the infestation up in a matter of days.

I'll drop the troops in the cubby on Tuesday and then chop next weekend, so I should be able to have a mooch under the leaves then to see how many are left. I just don;t want the spider mites on the hanging plants with an all you can eat buffet sign on the door as they'll just keep eating away at the plants during the dry and cure. Probably fuck it all up along the way.

Well, I dropped some predator mites in yesterday evening and I've decided to chop this lot tomorrow. I'm amazed at how fast a couple of mites can multiply.

Look at the web on this!

These Nep Jam crosses will go another couple of weeks, but I;m going to have to get this shite cleaned up in the cubby sooner rather than later.

I'll whole plant hang them for a week and let the predator bugs do their thing. I was pondering washing them, but I've had to do it before and I do lose lots of terps doing that, so I'll just roll with it and see what happens at jarring up time. Maybe a nice loose vac seal to suffocate the fuckers.

So a couple or 4 days into the "hang" and I've had a quick dried toot on some of the Blue Moby...

Image

Image

Not the greatest yield with them little buds the size of my thumb up the stalks, she stretched like someone adamant they could lick their own elbows too ... (try it, you may be able to do it!).

But underneath the quick dried bud taste, in the all glass vape, she has a smell of burning plastic. I was trying to put my finger on what the actual smells and taste was and I kept having visions of melted plastic stuck to my fingers... I have decided it's the smell of the old plastic beer can things you used to get a 6 pack shoved in. That and the carrier bag the shopkeeper put them into. I used to burn a lot of stuff when I was a kid.

Yup, straight burning plastic taste. There is a waft of body odour to her too.

I'm interested to see how this plant smells after a good cure, so I shall do a proper "smoke report" after. But as for the high, it was nice, middle of the road, evening vape. Had me giggling at Futurama quite a bit. Half decent veg in front of the idiotbox (TV) kinda strain.

The 00Seeds Blueberry has a definate smell of blues about her, a bit cheesy sweaty feet too. I had to give that plant a dunk in a bucket to get some of the mites off her, it's a shame to see all the oils floating on the water after doing it so she'll have lost some terps, but she was the worst hit in the tent.

Not much mite damage on the Nep Jam crosses, the thin leaf satty one was untouched, the fatter leaved one had a couple of fans munched, but that;s it. The Blues x PTG was again, left alone.

This diary can go on the bonfire round the back now! All done.
