Re: Sadface Mentors Hobbits First Coco Grow
Oioi Capt, we just try not to kill em eh.
Cheers Donks, yeah I moved recently and no longer have the luxury of a really well ventilated ambient space. TBH I should be thinking shut down not starting up lol. As the days here are getting warmer and humidity rises its gunna get messy. The dehumidifier that will definitely be needed, knocks temps up a few more degreess. Im hoping to try and keep them as close to 35c as possible but thats gunna be hard. Some one wanna keep that esky iced up its gunna get warm.

Re: Sadface Mentors Hobbits First Coco Grow
Alls pretty good, girls are not causing any problems. Gotta say that all though that Sadface doesn't comment here much we are dribbling shit together most days. So Sadface doesn't use an ec pen, at the beginning of this grow I wasnt either, just following orders. Things were gold. Then my ocd took over and I started measuring shite. So for the last two weeks i been fekin about measuring runoff while Sadface shakes his head, . And feked if I know but it kept rising even when i fed weaker with loads of runoff. So I gotta say Sadface was spot on fek that ec measuring. Haha gunna be crucified now. So any way it was doin my head in and the girls got a bit sulky from being feked around, soo ive removed the batteries hahaha. So its 20ml a&b in 30 ltr water and a capful of calmag for good measure. They started on that today.
lights: 400 MH
Temps: under 29c
RH: 50%
So we are doing our scrog a little different to most we have seen. Most fill the screen to 70% and flip. Ive done that but this time we wanna try filling it 100%. Sadface wants to let em grow a couple of inches after its full and flip. Hahaha fekin mad he is. I rekon fill it and flip. I got about 14 inches of height before my lights closer than 2 feet, I got no where to vent to and an oncoming Aussie summer, hahaha lets have it. Fekin ijiots.
So I rekon we gunna finish the season with a bang or fry the fuk outta em. So cant be much more than a week now until flip.
front 2: Nemesis
centre: Big bomb
right: Choc Mint OG
left: Ultimate

Dutch Passion Seeds
The Ultimate
This one is the lightest feeder, nice robust tips but not a huge spread.

Bomb Seeds
Big Bomb
I think this one was getting a bit stressed in the centre so I raised the light a couple inches tonight. Robust little plant, not a massive spread.

Seedsman
Nemesis
The Nemesis are going for gold now. After they were potted up they stalled for a week and the roots went mental. The last 4 days they are flying now. The other three plants which are older and have been potted up much longer dont have the same root mass as these little girls. The smaller of the two is now the larger. Would love to see these done in an Aero system. Not bad for no root stym and only a very small amount of GWS because i ran out.

Humboldt Seed Organization
Chocolate Mint OG
The OG is a beast of a plant, be happy with that scrog on its own. Be a good one to see in the ground i rekon. No drama from her so far, the pics dont do the size of her any justice, she wants to take over really.

Cheers for looking.

Re: Sadface Mentors Hobbits First Coco Grow
Looking real nice buddy!
I'd say you're both mad men! Filling the scrog to 100% and then flipping. You got some balls mate! Where's all that stretch gonna go? OMG my head hurts thinking about it.
I would agree on EC pen. It's good to have one, and use it, to know what you're feeding BUT I wouldn't worry measuring the runoff pH & EC unless I see a problem. Your plants look fully healthy. In my Honest opinion your runoff EC is only high because you're using Calmag :)
I really like the Chocolate mint OG. It's up to you to make up my mind if I will grow the strain or not :) Thank you for the update.

Re: Sadface Mentors Hobbits First Coco Grow
Cheers Bulls. Haha mad is right bro. Stretch is going straight up lol. I be pinching like fekin crazy bro, and may have to cut the tops off haha. Hope we grow that OG well mate help ya make up your mind. Good to hear you dont measure runoff either. Not sure why the calmag would be making it rise higher than it went in, but in saying that i got that ec as low as 0.8 which is 0.3 above base lol and was mostly calmag. Does the coco bond stronger with cal or mag molecules? I do remember reading something a couple years back about coco and mag. Cant quite remember now.Bulls wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 12:55 pmLooking real nice buddy!

Re: Sadface Mentors Hobbits First Coco Grow
haha we be choppin tops mate, bulk em right up. Ive topped plants in early flower outdoors it works well. Every time you top a plant it gives a more even distribution of hormones and nutrients etc.Black Grouse wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 2:13 pm100% full? hope they dont stretch like mine mate hahaha - least you know you can pinch them, I had no idea till you said!
