Hey guys, my very first diary and never had a successful grow yet (last year I attempted an afghan Kush fem plant but it failed to flower and died) so wish me luck.

This year I decided to go with two different auto plants, plant 1 a gorilla cookies auto and plant 2 a critical Kush XXL auto. I have no kit other than a cheap 200w lamp and I'll be buying a tent at the end of this week so I'll just document everything as we go along and see how things end up I guess.


So I germinated both seeds straight in thier pots using some cling film, elastic bands to create abit of humidity and left them ontop of a radiator under a light. Both seeds have germinated nicely using this method.

The larger sapling is the gorilla cookies - that is 9 days from seed to now. The small one is the critical Kush XXL which is only day 5.

Using standard compost and water only for now (as the compost contains feed) and I'll start feeding after around week 4/5 - atleast that's the plan.

I'll post the next update in a week or so, I should have a tent set up by then.

It was a cheap £50 one from Amazon.

It's not great but when I brought it my plan was just to grow my plants on the patio. I never planned to have "kit" lol. I'm buying a tent in afew days, then I'll get another light whenever money allows.

That's a right load of rubbish for growing bud, you just pissing money away down shithouse in more ways than one buying and using that. Yes it will grow and veg your plants up ok, but for budding a weed plant up you really need to be looking at least 100watts true power draw, i mean colour spectrum is sound but rest of it is crap man. Looking at specs its 12v x 2.5a = 30 watt true power draw.

You can get much better for that price, if it was all about looks it would be a winner hands down. You can pick up half decent led lights 2nd hand on eBay for that price and cheaper and yes even new that will perform better. A quick look i see you can get plenty half decent and better led 2nd hand as well as new from £30 to £80.

So yes id think about getting summink else for flowering. I mean even this which is a £5`ver atmo is gonna trounce that and easily out perform it when it comes to flowering plants out https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255983035364 ... R5SCspDPYQ

Anyhow it will veg you plants up cheap enough but its a bit of a waste of time if your wanting it producing buds Pork Chop. Can you not get your cash back and ill try to find ya a half decent new or 2nd hand one on eBay for a similar price ? But hit me with a pm anytime before you splash out again and ill take a look for you and find summink x10 better than this rubbish.

Old wardrobes or small cupboards are great for growing bud in too not just tents, i grow in a small cupboard.

I could well use that light, probably not in my grow room, mainly for photography, might have to get me one of those.

One thing ill say is autos are finicky and you need to be on the ball with them right from the get go or you wont get the full potential from them, if i were you id look at getting a new light asap before they get much bigger, just like 2 scoops said if you try and flower with that you’ll regret it.

You could use the flowering light to veg anyway if needs be so thats where you should spend your money, better light = better bud.
Even a hps setup would be better than what youve got, will be cheap to purchase but more expensive to run than led, also led are usually dimmable so you can adjust the light output when you need to.

Less is more when watering at this stage so just a drizzle at the base of the seedlings a few times a week for the first week or so, let the roots develop. Its too easy to overwater and stunt an auto. I agree with Mr Scoops about the light, but i thought you were gonna grow these out on your patio using the free grow light in the sky?
Personally, if i was to get a tent, i wouldnt put a light and plant in until you have an extractor fan. Have a look at the wardrobe i built, viewtopic.php?f=13&t=19968 its simple to build and great for stealthy growing.

Hi mate. Yeh that's the plan (well the original one atleast) but it's abit cold and crap out there still at the moment so they're under that lamp until the weather perks up.

However after looking at all the diary's out there I'm thinking getting a tent and lamp etc might just be the way to go.
