A Breeding Project (ft Dying Breed Seed)

Welcome all my new mini project that ive thinking about starting for a while. Not sure where this dairy will turn into more a note taking one but thought be nice if let you guys join the fun.

Currently I’m pheno hunting through lit farms seeds to find a special lady to start this project.

Will be taking pollen from 2 boys from hh and bd so can I breed to find something better after my test cross.

The pack I’ve decided to start with is dying breed - massive d, which tbh I bought on the wim but now really excited after confirming the gen from Brandon from 3rd gen family farms due to them having a completely diffrent label as it’s not black. Makes then rarer I guess

There is no info on Shiloh D even asked with no joy, I’m guessing it could be a descendant of the original diesel as if you search it Shiloh Z comes up and it say and I quote

Shiloh Z is a rare indica dominant hybrid strain (70% indica/30% sativa) created as a descendant of the Original Z strain.

There a few reason why I so excited about these
1: one grandparent is one of the original og Kush cuts
2: Great GrandParent is original skunk no1
3: has the same grape ape as the original zkittles
4: og Eddy is zkittles half brother

So as you can see think most of use would get excite with them sort of linages

Interesting fact.
OG Eddy is one of RS11 grandparents

Through this dairy I hope to show how I go about thing for growing out a male to collecting pollen ect.

Thank guys. When comes to this I have no idea what I’m doing so best get researching. The idea is to mix something old with some new. Not sure what I’m looking for but it comes to me. I am umming and eeeribg if to go organic or salts.

Germination:

I have wasted 2 seeds already but that was my mistake.

Drop 2 more seeds in water with 2.5ml/L nitro zyme which brought the water ec to 1.1 and ph water to 6.0 for 24-36 hours. Set the tent to 22-24c and have the extraction fan on automation.

Once the seeds have cracked and the root is visible will move them to a paper towel til they ready to be put into a peat plug

Germination Part 2

As these are not the cheapest seeds around so though let's go back to the paper towel method as normally just soak then put them into cube. I have not done this method since my first grow so a bit rusty with it.

What Leo stone say and I believe Brandon from 3rd gen grows the same way

Aficionado is among the very few companies to produce our seeds primarily outdoors, 100% organically, under full California sun. Due to our exclusive cultivation techniques, seeds may take a little bit longer to germinate
(allow up to 4-6 days) as a result of a thicker, hardier, and stronger shell casing formed from full-sun growing methods.

Dampen two layers of paper towels with distilled water that is between 67-78 degrees F. Place the cannabis seeds between the two layers and check every 12 hours to maintain proper dampness. The paper towels should be wet but without visible standing water. In approximately 24-78 hours the seeds will probably have begun to germinate. Once tails are ¼ inch or longer, seeds are ready to plant. Be sure to maintain proper ambient temperatures for warmth.

While I want to grow the bad decisions and happy hour males out, thought it would be best if find a female from the md as well as males and open pollinate her/them so I can a proper search through instead on relaying on just the original pack ones

Abit of change of plan, just for the beginning of this project. New plan will be to pop all the pack so can open pollinate with the females so I can make f1 versions which will leave me a lot of seeds to go through to find a better male instead of just 10

So in brief

Pop 10 seeds > open pollinate > find a f1 male from new seeds.

This in turn will help me see what dominant or recessive.
Will be labeling them the capitals and lowercase example Pp, will explain this later on
