Yeah that seems to be what goes around as the genetics. It's always confused me. From what I've seen, there's absolutely no way it's an NL5 Haze, nothing about it tracks, and I'd be surprised if there was any haze in there at all. It's 10 weeks and it's all fruity, funky skunk. The NL part kinda tracks, but it seems more like a Skunk #1 from back when Sensi were worth popping.
KGBeans made some BXs, i have the BX2 but apparently it's more Blues leaning so I'm after the cut. Hopefully think link comes through and I can report the findings with a bit more first hand experience!

The BX2s could definitely be interesting in their own right. Not sure what he made it with. I heard blues, but that doesn't make any sense either!
It's such a lottery and seedfinder/leafly etc ate not always accurate. Good luck with your hunt for the cut.

I have been potentially offered in a number of weeks a cut of 'Exo Cheese' but whether that will A, happen or B, be genuine is anyone's guess. Difficult because when you geek out about strains, things like exo are holy grail material for me. Scored an ounce in the 90s and made it last a year it was that good.

Good luck hunting man.
Seems like the cheese still goes about a good bit. I'd def say it's worth a go if you have access. I'm losing hope for my connect coming through as the weeks go on, but we'll see! I don't plan on hoarding it if does.
For sure, it's a lottery. That I'm I'm slightly paranoid about brining in clones from outside since my spider mite infestation.

Yikes! That's enough to put you off.

Only had them once with a larger grown. Had to chop everything, use some horrible chemicals and reset. Not an experience I'm keen to repeat.

Exactly, I've not flowered a thing for months before this current run.

Being in living soil is extra fun attempting to avoid those exact horrible chemicals. Ditched over 100ltrs of soil, cleaned fhe empty tent with bleach then filled the place with predator mites.

The grow now gets a weekly neem solution foliar when in veg once a week and there's now neem in the topdress.

I must admit the neem folia really gives them a boost in vigour so it's definitely good for them.

Sounds like we have a similar approach! A mix of neem, dr bronners, iso and water. They get a good soaking once a week up until the third week.

My hat goes off and my heart goes out to you. So much to like about living soil but with the amount of houseplants my girlfriend seems to constantly collect it's a recipe for disaster! I don't think I could bear to part with 100l of the good stuff after all the work gone into it!

On the upside, I wouldn't have learnt about dealing with them or learnt you have to keep your groom tidy and clean to avoid reinfestation. Or started the ipm regime with neem, which itself haw imo4oved the health of the current run.

This whole hobby has been a catalogue of mistakes driving improvement. Got to take the rough with the smooth.

These pics were taken on Tuesday, day 20 of 12/12

Most of them have stretched a lot, they've calmed down a bit although they're still going, certainly #9 (the untopped plant) is.

Image

#3 has a great structure, this is the plant that had the better vigour, much better, than the rest. From seedling stage she was head an shoulders above the rest. If the terps are there, then this could be a really nice plant to keep around and could be flipped from clone with little to no veg time. put on trichomes before the others and has good flower development already. Looks like it's gonna be classic, dense OG style buds.

Image

This is the untopped one, it turned out to be really nice after it's early reluctance to grow and will be great to see how she gets along from cutting on the next round if she makes the cut. Slightly different nose to her, the rest are piney lemon, this one has some pineappley funk to her. Way too tall, but it is what it is.

Image

They're all too close to the light and for the most part have stretched almost 3x. I don't really fancy supercropping them at this stage, so i think i'll just have to live with bleached tops this time and learn for next time. They won't need much veg time on the next round and as much as I dislike them, a net might make life easier.

Image

I was told this strain was really difficult to get to root, but all the cuts seem to be OK. They're in an aerocloner and are perhaps going a bit slow compared to some, but TBH i don't mind at all. If anything, it holds them in stasis for longer and helps with my schedule.

I should say, they're not all crazy stretchers. Couple of shorter ones, one that's barely stretched at all but has a pretty nice structure.

Thanks.

I wasn't prepared for how much they stretched really. Much more than any Face Off hybrids I've grown in the past. Looking forward to the next run with them.

Temps could be more stable, they're more sensitive than most to environmental changes and really hate the cold. They'd probably fare better in summer but seem happy enough.
