@Keeno I was thinking the same, thanks for you answer! 💪

@Cave Hill Cole I can agree with you directly, the thrips are particularly on the Black Apple and tend to stay away from the 24K.
Yes I think it will turn out the way you said it would.
Thanks mate! 😎

6th Update - After 13 weeks

We have been on 12/12 for 6 weeks and the red spectrum has been on for 5 weeks.
However, I found out about 4 weeks ago that my timer switch was messing up. After 2h light off the lights just came back on for 1-2h. I don't know exactly how long this has been the case, at least it can be clearly seen in the current development. 🤷‍♂️

A week ago I took off everything that was already dead, which doesn't get any light anyway and the places where only popcorn buds grow.

All in all I'm unfortunately not very happy with my run this time. The plants are already discolouring, have dying leaves, the wrong timer and the thrips infestation. All things I have for the first time. 🤦‍♂️

The predatory mites didn't do much either. After several days of application I could not detect any activity. When I asked, the dealer assured me that nothing could have happened during the cold shipping process and that the mites must be alive. I couldn't find out now. So I have to go there again.

From now on, all I have to do is wait and see and prepare the next little ladies for thrips.

7th Update - After 14 weeks

We've been in bloom for 7 weeks and the red spectrum has been on for 6 weeks.
I just wanted to quickly show the update with my support mesh. I also removed some leaves.
And I was actually able to find the first predatory mites, so they weren't all dead after all.

IMO their really was no need to defoliate those Fabi, light is getting to the whole plant with leaves on and it would have been much more beneficial leaving leaves on. That said whatever works for ya works man, just my view on jobby brother man.

Deleafing is more beneficial when you cant see light through plant, kinda like ive just done here.

Well thats how i see it anyhow Fabi. 8-)

Hey, thank you very much for your great message! 😁
I've been told once before, to be honest, that I don't need to take off that many leaves. My thought behind it was always, 'if a leaf covers a bud, then the leaf comes off. It can only be good.' 🤷‍♂️
But that's not necessary, you're telling me, right? 🤔

And also thanks for the pictures. 😎

I`m more along lines of if plant as whole looks like its getting loadsa light then let it be. When its too busy and overcrowded like mine was in picture then yes go to town on it, but looking at yours before its even done the whole room is full of light right down to floor where as my room was pitch black dark below the canopy level, im not saying dont remove odd few leaves if you feel need but looking at that i dont think their was a need for it, other peeps opinion may differ but thats where im at with my view.

Also my thoughts on defoliating in bloom if your gonna do it anyhow then yes go to town on it best done about 3 weeks into bloom then let it be and do it again about 7 weeks in. Sometimes they will only get done once about 3 weeks in to bloom ideally then they're just left even if they grow back if lights reaching all room i just leave it even if they grow more back.

After 3 weeks in they wont replace big fan leaves like they would do if you did it in veg or too much earlier, they too busy putting lots more energy in growing buds than trying to replace leaves, not say they dont grow some back cus they do but i seem to think they grow those smaller leaves bigger to compensate alot more than replacing shit loads.

End of shift whatever works and theirs more than one way to skin a cat, but maybe try your luck on one and leave other next time if they not so leafy like these plants were just to see if their is much difference to satisfy your own mind, theirs prolly gonna be very little difference if any in yield then again feck knows tbh. But theirs no science to any of this. One thing you may notice difference with is one thats untouched will prolly finish up quicker cus every time you abuse plant your prolly gonna knock it back a bit and slow it down and they need time to recover, so in longer term it will be more fruitful as your gonna grow more. Then again fffffuck knows............... but tis mainly my thoughts on it all fabi. Jeez id better shush now I've ranted shit loads about it their prolly just repeating myself a lot. Cheers mate 8-)

Hey scoops, thank you for your detailed message!
That all sounds really reasonable and understandable.
I think I'll really try to leave her more alone and not overdo it. When I think about it, I'm actually doing quite a lot, to be honest.
Yea it's a done deal now, I'll try it out right away with my ChocoMints.
Again, thanks for your message mate! 😎
