Re: Enter the Wu
Day 3 drying on nets:
Cure check - put buds in 1l jars with hygrometer. Humidity went to 74% within 30mins. Therefore back on nets
Will do the same tomorrow. The last two plants took around 5 days to dry so I'm trying to find the sweet drying spot in my room.
The first chops of the tangie and gaze are in jars with a humidity of 60% and the haze feels hard and a bit brittle..but when grinding it up you can smell the wetness so hopefully that should moisten the bud over time. At the moment I'm cracking jars twice daily due to work for 5 min a time. Giving it a shake and wiggle..and the jars too of course. Peace

Re: Enter the Wu
Nice jobby Wu. Do you rate the bowl trimmer and did it save you time ? Myself i dont even use scissors anymore except for chopping a stalk off i then nip buds off stem with finger n thumb, but its took a 2 to 3 hr jobby down to between 1/2 and 1 hour, job done.

100 fekkin % brother. I had a Ballache manually trimming 2 plants in soil.. it almost felt like they yielded more but will have to check my notes.2-Scoops wrote: ↑Tue Nov 08, 2022 12:05 pmNice jobby Wu. It's amazing...slightly trade off with th3 bits of small bud it sometimes collects in the steel bin...I sift through my hands and grabbed some mini buds..it will be a combo of both strains so I will call it my special mix aye :) there's still loads of tiny bits of bud left over which will only add power to the trim..I just need to try and actually use it because this trim is good as opposed to th3 shit trim I've had on crappy plants..it would still get you baked though.
I've got each strain of the first harvest in jars. And I don't know whether it's my head playing tricks but I swear I can smell the grapefruit if I take a deep wiff in the grapefruit tangier and a citrusey smell in the Super Lemon Haze...or is it just my h3ad...I did roll a sample haze and token a few burns before sniffing the jars whilst burping...mind blown

Re: Enter the Wu
Thank you Mrs B. I haven't tried the recent chop with the monstrous tangie buds yet..can't imagine that's going to be like. This is by far my best run yet at canna so I'm so pleased. Especially with them smelling like what rheyre are supposed to...I think!Mrs Beefheart wrote: ↑Tue Nov 08, 2022 9:17 pmWell done hun , amazinghappy smoking enjoy

Re: Enter the Wu
5 days since first on the nets for the 2nd chop they're ready to be jarred.
5 days around 60% rh in the room, at 22c on average is my sweet spot drying inside with a fan pointing downwards at the bottom. in the GQ60.
A day earlier in the jars and RH was in its 80's this morning in the jars it seems to be hovering around 60% with no massive jump like I noticed within the first 30mins yesterday .
Finally feel like I'm getting there. This is my most successful grow to date thanks to everyone's help here.
I will present the weight of the buds in a week or so once the 2nd jar is fully on its way to cure.
