Clone run - Mad Dog (Solfire) BBC (SQ1) Red Berries (exoticgenetix)

Post by Benjic93 »

So, this is the start of my Clone journey. 1st time dealing with clones so here goes.

I'm mainly going to focus this diary on one clone (Mad Dog by solfire) "Purple Marmalade X Hood Candyz" #1 but as I have 6 from various plants some others may slip in.

To start. They are currently about 3 weeks old being cloned.
Equipment-
500ml pots
Plant Magic Soil
2ml Grow, 1ml Magncal, 2ml root juice, 1ml bio ( All Plant magic nutes)
Under a InvisibleSun ISH100E Evo - Horticultural lighting system Powered by Samsung LED Dimmed to about 15%.
Small USB fan blowing air
All sat on a heated propagator.

Environment -
humidity 75%
Temperature COLD

So, I have no heating in my veg tent. Its all in my flower tent as there my main goal. There on a heated propagator so the soil is nice and warm. bare in mind these are in a tent in the SHED so air temp gets pretty cold. They seem to survive though.

I'm going to try and focus on the clone I accidentally snapped that I discussed in another post. just incase anyone wants to watch her journey.

I have 6 clones altogether. Flowering 4 so 2 will get the chop eventually.

If anybody decides to follow this PLEASE help me along the way. I consider myself a competent grower but 1st time dealing with my own clones and these seem to already be hitting deficiencies. Maybe because the environment.

These have about 6/7 weeks until they'll get moved to the flower tent and flipped.

Thankyou.

Updates every Friday/Saturday.

Evening Gr420.

So, another day another clone. ive currently had some snips in a glass of water for almost 3 weeks from a flowering plant. one of those finally produced a nice long root. I've potted it up. havnt got alot of faith in it but it's all just experiment and keeping me busy. (They looked stressed as he'll though)

right, to the actually diary. Nothing much to tell. The 'Mad Dog #1' I snapped has produced a nice looking scab. She seems to be healthy and didn't really skip a beat. You can definitely see a difference within a week. Same applies to the other clones. There growing surprisingly well under the conditions.

I'm not sure when I should pot them up. I'm trying to keep them a little small at the minute so they all fit in the propagator lol. I may give it another week or 2 then re pot to a 1Gal perhaps.

As soon as there re potted I'm probably going to switch my nute line from Plant Magic to Monkey Nutrients. I'm not sure yet.

so that's all I can really update on this week. Nothing spectacular other then surviving clones in cold temps.

Thanks for reading.

Hey GR. Another week has passed for thr clone. Ive got some soil on order and these will be re potted into 1gal pots and then flipped. Trying to beat the peakness cold.

These are currently on 2ml Grow, 1ml Bio, 1ml Magncal, 1.5ml Root juice.

Still all plant magic.

There under about 70w of light at the moment.
Temperature can reach 15c! Rh 70%.Still sat on a heated propagator to keep the roots cosy.

There all under a 24hr light schedule. Have been since rooted. So they haven't slept in a few weeks.

I took a cut a few cuts from a flowering plant. My last post shows 1 of them with 1 root. Wich is still surviving in soil. This one I left a couple days longer in water and the roots exploded! Image

Good morning GR420. Sorry this update is couple days late. Not that I have many followers but here it is.

I ended up cutting down my reveg plants. Appreciate everyone telling me to keep em going but I ended up spotting 1 or 2 few nanas. I couldn't take any risk and they were messed up already. 5 months of nurture in the bin.

I've potted up these cuts now into 4lt pots. this was about 2days ago. I'm going to give them a week or 2 and then flip.

1 or 2 seem to be hitting a deficiency. Wether it be a mag deficiency or/and nitrogen.

There being fed 3ml Grow, 1ml Magncal, 2ml Root juice, 1ml bio sillicon. (per lt).

I've got them under 1x invisiblesunled board at 110w about 30" away. Once they flower I'll spread them out in the tent and turn my 2nd board on for max coverage.

temp I'm keeping about 22c and RH 70%.

I took some cuts from a flowering plant I stated before. To my suprise there actually growing. I put them in 4lt containers last night. Unsure what I will do with them yet though, wether I keep them going or bin them. I was just playing about. Now I had to bin the flowering plants I'm more inclined to keep them going.

I'll take some more professional, intimate pictures for the next update. Just abit rushed before I head to work.

Well, thankyou for reading.

Hey guys, quick update on these.

Been a week and I love how these progress. Its my 1st time taking clones and growing them out so I'm dam proud these are alive and well. I'll will probably give it another week until flip. Possibly next Friday, or sooner. I'll need to give them a good tie down and spread then out before hand.

So I've still got my 3x Red Berries, 2 Mad Dog and the BBC.

The clones I took from a flowering plant actually growing! So weird seeing thricomes on the leafs. (Last picture)

I'm able to keep the temp at a steady 21c. Had to introduce my humidifier since the radiator has been turning on more. They seem to be ok though.

Thankyou @Momma bear growing well considering their circumstances. Must say I prefer growing from seed though. More symmetrical. These feeds throw me off a little bit. I may be over feeling one or 2 from signs of their tips.
