Thanks Keeno. If nothing else this is my prettiest grow to date.

Re: Grumpy Toad's Fall 2022 grow
End of week two flower
Environment in tent is rock solid. No weird high or lows in either temperature or humidity. I bumped the base nutrients up very slightly and as of week two I'm adding Big Bud to the nutrient mix. EC is at 1.7.
When I pulled the plants out to feed & inspect I noticed the Zweet Inzanity was kind of droopy. This was strange because she has been the best looking gal in the tent. Fed all the plants and returned them to the tent. Tried to go through everything that could have changed during the last three days and came up blank. No spike in temperature or humidity. So I kept thinking about what caused this. It occurred to me that out of the 5 plants the Zweet Inzanity felt really light. So I thought maybe it dried out too much. That plant was also directly in front of the tower fan too. Checked plants the next morning and the Zweet Inzanity bounced right back, looking perky & praying to the lights. I'll water/feed that plant sooner.
One of the Midnight Moonlight plants is having a growth explosion. It was a couple inches shorter than the ZI and in the last week has become the tallest in tent. The White Wedding (Runt) was the only plant that didn't get topped. It's coming along nicely. The interesting thing about that plant is that the pistils are coming in pink. Once it gets a little more developed I'll try to get a good photo.
So, all is good. Loving the grow. Peace, Toad

Re: Grumpy Toad's Fall 2022 grow
Found a strange mutation on one of the fan leaves on the Midnight Moonlight 1. I'm guessing it's not all that uncommon but it's a first for me. From what I can tell this will turn into a bud on the center of the fan leaf.

I didn’t notice that freaky bit of growth in the photo when you shared the other night.
Never seen one grow like that before, keep us updated with pics as it develops. Be interesting to see what happens next.
Maybe we could have a what happens next competition

Re: Grumpy Toad's Fall 2022 grow
End of week 3 flower (actually day 20)
Plants continued to stretch. One I didn't expect to take off got tall really quick. There is some height difference in the plants. I've put the two shortest plants on boxes to get them up close to level with the tallest. Between that and the ability to adjust the height of the two lights independently I'm looking pretty good. I'm keeping the average distance from the light to top at about16”.
No change in nutrients. I've been slowly adjusting the dehumidifier to keep the RH in the tent in line, as the weather outdoor cools. I did a pretty heavy defoliation today. Trying to keep air & light getting through the plants. This will also keep humidity down so I won't need to run my dehumidifier as much.
The tall, lanky plant on the left is Midnight Moonlight 1. I decided to use a technique suggested by Rasta Jeff at the Grow From Your Heart podcast. He said that taking any fan leaf with a purple petiole is good. Never tried before...now I have. LOL That is also the plant that had the mutant leaf. I didn't realize I pulled it, until it was too late.
The closeup is of the White Wedding. It is the runt, only plant that didn't get topped. It's the first one starting to look frosty.

Re: Grumpy Toad's Fall 2022 grow
This is going to be a full House Grumpy. I've never seen that leaf mutation up close but it is a mad one for sure. I think it was @chillbert42 who had a whole plant do it recently. But I may be wrong.

Re: Grumpy Toad's Fall 2022 grow
@Grumpy Toad nice grow here bro .. shame u plucked the mutant leaf but if its any consolation you may have only lost 0.1g of your potential final harvest ;) lol thats about how much my fan leaf buds each weighed !
@Keeno i did indeed recently have 6 fans do it on one plant in the upper canopy, not the whole plant but 1 is uncommon, more than 1 rarer still i think ..
my 6 mini-buds combined to make a whole small zoot which was a novel test smoke as they dried the quickest :)
happy growing @Grumpy Toad plants here looking boom
