Ok here we go, so that dial dimms the light down, youve got it on 100% and was at 40cm from the tops of the plants, if you had that dial turned down to maybe 25% at 40cm from the canopy you might have been alright.
Like i said get a light meter, either buy one or try an app and take some readings.
Basically if you can turn the light down and lower the height of the light then you’ll save electricity and extend the life of your equipment in theory

Thanks momma bear, its good to know your here watching over me in case i mess up.
So far i think weve got it covered do you? Im thinking a good flush with his ph’d start solution at a weak dose, then work on getting the light set right for seedlings.
After that its plain sailing, just let them dry out a bit between feeds and he should be good to go

Yeah hes got it, so daunting at the start isnt it.
My first grow was embarrassing, didn’t know you could go on a forum and learn all this stuff

That is reading in lux so you need to convert to par to follow that chart, try this https://sativauniversity.com/lux-to-par-calculator/
Youll need to input some information about your light or it just wont be accurate

What you could try is hang a tape measure off your light and use your light meter app to see how close you need to be to get the lux your looking for.
If your light lands about a foot or two above the canopy with your lux reading and the light is spreading nicely across the tops of all the plants then all good thats perfect.
If the light doesnt spread too well no bother just raise the light up some more and turn up the power a bit and do all your readings again. Its trial and error at this point and your just going to have to play around till you find the sweetspot.
Just use a calculator to figure out how many lux you need and work from there

To save you the trouble i just googled it “seedlings should receive 5000-7000 lux” perhaps aim for the lower part of that range to start
