Capt... Did you use cortex as a top? I use black with white ontop to reflect. White alone shines light through but I was considering upgrading to kingspan.
The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.

yep i used the cortex covers as standard... just popped on with the poppers the root bed always lifted the lids off @ harvest the bed would be solid 6 inch thick full length of the tray, i found that in the early weeks jest a trickle from the pumps feeding was better than opening them rite up !!! i`d start of a trickle slowly increasing the pump flow as the buggers roots hit the spreader.......what ewe gotta remember is your creating a film of nutes along the mat not a flood......its like dirt the first few weeks until the roots established see...gotta let them search btw a fully sturated 4" cube holds a fuk full of water. also i`d never run nft without oxy plus its wiorth its weight in bud imho. :Stoned:

Yeah they don't need a high flow rate at the start. I also add 30ml per tank h2o2 daily as a precaution

One thing is i never vegged them in the nft . The plants were fairly big. So i switched them to flower as soon as they went into the nft. Do you think thats what ive done wrong?

aye bach best source of oxygen them roots can get,as for the lid sealed i like the air going in see light penetrating in the res on nft is minimal it dont bother the roots in my exp. :Stoned: my gt 604`s with 4 plants per tray were supping 10 litres each tank daily i had 4 back in the day see.
