Re: Multi strain soil grow
Hello gr420 we are having a major hps stretch light almost at the ceiling of the tent about day 23 of bloom so hopefully the stretch is over weirdly lbf (tangerine dream is now the most vigorous by far fed this morning 1.2 ec and pH 6.3. I've removed a few more leaves and small stems. I can't recommend this medium enough I've been growing for many years and I've never had such healthy looking leaves there are no blemishes anywhere on any plant its amazing. Im sorry about the picture quality I've been trying to take pics for a few days but it's difficult with the hps on hope everyone is OK and have a lovely friday

Re: Multi strain soil grow
Stretching has stopped the lbf is at the back left I've had to tie it into the corner as it's too tall for the light it's sort of pulled along the back wall of the tent they all look great apart from being a bit tall. There's a few things I should have already mentioned, I'm using rain water as my tap water is very hard and I'm using ghe trio for nutes no root stims or pk or boosts just the 3 bottles at what they suggest on the bottles for soil and its bang on the ec i would be using anyway I haven't had to adjust anything apart from ph I think in hindsight I should have waited another week before I did my first defol I think that coupled with the hps swap has caused the growthspurt althou there are loads of flowers coming so it will be good in the end. I think I should also add I didn't buy the nutes for soil I use the same bottles for dwc soil and coco

Re: Multi strain soil grow
So why did you switch them back to hps, was it ton save electric so you dont need to use a heater or maybe produce more buddage, possibly both ? Plants look bang on though mate.
Oh yes the defoliation of bottom 3rd i tend to it all at once around 3 weeks into bloom when stretch has stopped if i can get in room to do it without flattening plants, otherwise its done 2 weeks into 12/12

Re: Multi strain soil grow
Thanks for looking in Mr scoops I always planned to flower under the hps I've been using small leds for a couple of years as you know but I can't get to grips with them it's just too cold under them for my liking. Earlier on I had a 250 hps on one side and a 150 watt qb on the other when you put your hand in under the light the difference is like night and day I even called hrh in for her opinion and I know which light I would want to be under. Led for vegging definitely but I can't make them work even in summer this isn't a led bash mate it's just what works for me. I trimmed underneath at about 11 days I should have waited as you say until 21 days but I get excited sometimes lol. They look better than they look in the picture they are greener than they look here there are another couple of pics in my gallery I don't know if you can see them sorry about the long post you won't see me for another week lol hope your well and when do we see your new clones2-Scoops wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 1:40 pmSo why did you switch them back to hps, was it ton save electric so you dont need to use a heater or maybe produce more buddage, possibly both ? Re: Multi strain soil grow
Yes i take your point about warmth for sure when using hps especially during winter it saves a fortune instead of using heaters when hps light is on.
Theirs a link in my previous post @Wrh in middle at bottom of post to new cuttings i have put in. Cheers man
