They are growing fast Marcus I'm loving the old skool lighting and so are your ladies lol
Cheers WRH!

I should have started in small pots and potted up along the way, but laziness got the better of me.

I also HATE these pots. All the water pisses out the sides and the soil stays dry :strangling: I've left them sat in their trays full of the water I ran through them earlier.

Well, these have finally found their feet and are now growing daily.

I've white balanced the camera so this is their true colours to the eye.

Tomorite grow bag mud seems to do the trick with a handful of perlite and some worm castings slung in for luck.

:running-around:

I'm getting excited to cut their heads off and flip em soon. :viking:

Topped them above the 5th (not cunting the lowest node as that'll probably get removed anyway).

I'll poop the CMH on at the weekend and set the lights to 12/12 and let nature take it's course.

Gave them a cap of miracle grow organic brown stuff in 4L of water between them too. Time to start popping some munchies in the pots for them.

I slung the CMH in and put the timer on 12/12 today. They can crack on now.

I've mixed a pinch of humic and a pinch of fulvic into their water for tomorrow. Let's see if it helps them or hinders them.

Just about bang on for flipping here mate, very nice. :nice:

So the 315 watter cmh/cdm light do these produce big fat stinking buds like a 400hps, also do they give of more heat than hps and do you use the red spec 3000k bulbs and in your opinion are the cheapo bulbs decent or do you go high end ? Lots of questions their for you if ive missed any feel free to add more plz. :running-around:

Thinking i may get one of these for flowering during Winter months just to save on energy from using heaters when lights on and such like. I`m liking look of the double 315 x 2 bulbs in one light jobby as well. I know you`ve used these for some time now so your opinion on it all means lots here mukka. :nice:

Hi Jimbo!

Yes, they produce smelly fat dongs. I'd say the 315w beats the 400w hps, not by much... But it destroys my 240w Leds in terps and bulk. :viking:
Less heat than HPS, my tent sits at 26*C min when it's 18-20*C in the house.
I use the red flowering bulb, don;t bother with the veg blue one as I have a 150w metal halide and the T5 too for the young phase.
I am currently using a cheap bulb - Optilux 3k. Was £55 a couple of years back but they're below £40 now.
I like them to be hung vertical, they just work better vertical than horizontal according to the scientits. I have a posh SunSystem shade, not cheap but my pal in Greens did me a deal on a display one.
I had a philips bulb that was £100, but the thing cracked and philips didn't want to honour the warranty, so fuck buying them daft expensive bulbs. The cheapo ones do the trick just as good.
BUT... I may start buying them Hortilux bulbs from the USA that let 50% more UV through than the normal bulbs.
I know @Bulls is still using his CMHs and smashes it with them!
Wherever he's buggered off to?

There's a few units pop up on the bay of e from time to time, especially the double enders. Might be worth a try of a cheap unit then sell it on and grab a new one if it suits?

Yes @Marcus ive just been looking on fleabay namely at Grimsby hydro which sells ex display and second hand shit, but he gives a short warranty. I dont think I'd get a vertical in my room if its with those big umbrella typo shades but i do like DE ones as well and the guys have some of those in, so whats advantages of DE light possibly a more even spread of light from both ends ? I`m undecided atmo what to go for. Thinking LED is cool for Summer but Winter using warmer lighting just saves wads of cash in juice box what with LED types using heaters 24/7

This looks super sexy on dual 315cmh lights menu m8. :nice:
