Never did get time for the update but now back and recovered enough from product earth to test smoke each of the 4 Pink Waferz, and also sample a little flower rosin from each...
First up here's some pics of the pressing..
Returns on the rosins were all in the 18-20% region which is decent but maybe not commercial material.. conditions were too hot at the end of the grow and some of the dry so I'm sure all numbers could be improved upon.
Their were 2 different flavours in the phenos.. 2 had a clear biscotti influence in the taste with that cookie vibe, the other 2 not so much but more earth, leather, sandlewood thing goin on..
One of the advantages of rosin is the intense concentration of terps allows the user to taste much more than they can in flower (unless vaped ! ).. And the high potential is also made abundantly clear too! There is no lack of flavour in each pheno, thats for sure.. atm my preference is the no1 pheno, diamond shaped buds (reminds me of amnesia), very dense but not rock hard, biscotti spice, tested at 19% thc (on purple pro at product earth). That number would be higher in ideal growing conditions I'm sure.. biscotti genetics have high potential for thc production no doubt.
Yields were between 3 and 4 oz on each plant with an approximate total of 14oz for the 4 plants which is reasonable for the space they took up (about 9 square foot so approx 1.5oz per square foot) and the time they took to flower (9 weeks but I'd go 10 on some phenos). Numbers I'm happy to run for sure.
Overall happy with the grow but really looking forward to a winter harvest when the plants will be getting cold nights etc and finishing in more 'natural' circumstances.
If you like the biscotti vibe and you want something a bit different to your regular cookie strains, this might be worth a bang.
Thanks to conscious, whom I shared some buds and rosin with from the grow at product earth, and to GR420 for the opportunity to run these testers. Good luck to conscious on their release and future work.
Big ups to all the growers here who ran these and other testers, and all who grow their own!
much grower love
