Re: SM Bruce Banger
Sorry to see this mate. Not to dishearten you, but I grew Seedsman's Bruce Banger once and it was terrible - one of the worst strains I had ever grown. There was so much phenotypic variation, suggesting it's not a stable strain at all. One had big airy buds, another had thin, fairly dense buds, and another was a runt that got binned. Both ones I kept had weird issues like yours, with curving leaves and weird blotches when all my other plants looked fine. Neither had much aroma while they were growing, nor when cured. It was some of the worst tasting weed I've ever had and the effects were crap too. It put me off ever growing Seedsman strains again, but to be fair their Lemon Auto is pretty decent. I really wanted to try proper Bruce Banner, but that was surely not it. I hope yours is a better smoke than mine was.

@sybarite Your statements correspond exactly to my experiences with Seedsman genetics. Too bad.

Re: SM Bruce Banger
Nice one for the detailed update with the issues you've faced. I've never been a fan of seedsman personally, as mentioned previously they are not as stable as other breeders from hay part of the world.
I'm gutted for you with having up get rid of a mother.
I've seen similar leaf patterns under LED in my last few grows. I attribute it to over feeding, but its not displaying as that. Maybe something to do with the intensity of light most of us are now using, plants can take higher feeds than ever, but maybe not all rlrments of the feed. I'm referring to the curved leaves, not the colour difference.

Re: SM Bruce Banger
I've had this plant for few years, don't know exactly but at least 2, grown her out I don't know how many times & the smoke had always been good, however as I mentioned in my previous post, last year I noticed a problem & she got pushed to the back of my mother area & forgotten about. It's tricky thinking back so far (for this stoner) but the leaf problem was there since the beginning I am 99% sure it came in on the seeds. In the beginning it was just the odd leaf but now its gotten so bad its changed the shape of the buds & morphed so bad I am going to bin the mother.sybarite wrote: ↑Sat Jul 30, 2022 1:38 pmSorry to see this mate. Cheers for your comment @sybarite fear not, I'm not disheartened, just means it's time to crack some new beans.

Photos & video taken Day 63 / week 9
I've been topping up with straight RO water the last 10 days, res 0.4ec when I last checked & ive been resetting the ph to 6.3 every few days, added h202 as a precaution because water temps have been high.
Pics and video shot during lights off so as to get a better view of the colours etc, there not as flushed as I'd like them to be but the trichomes are all milky with 3-5% amber.

Beautiful buds on that one! I love that bud structure! Purple punch has kinda the same structure. I’m kinda with kbag on not seeing what the fuss is about. Beautiful girls sir!

Re: SM Bruce Banger
after pulling all the large fan leafs they were left to hang dry for 10 days.

After drying they were hand trimmed & left on a net for a further 5 days.

Video of the buds before jarring.
The final dry weight of jarable buds was 450G
1m x 1m = 10.7 square feet
450 / 10.7 = 42G per square foot
Not my best harvest but not my worse either, quality of the bud this time around has dropped, buds are fluffy & more leafy, after smoking couple of joints I can say it's less potent too & lacks flavour although high drying temps most likely affected the flavour. All in all I think it is time to drop bruce from my lineup as she is not what she use to be.
Thanks for following along, this grow darie has now reached the end. Cheers GR420
