Re: Landrace Adventures
So a cheeky update to mark the repotting.
I ran out of soil so only two of the three Kandahar got repotted and the one Thai.
So I've heard these Highland Thai plants get real big and the recommendation is to start them on 12/12, moving to 11 light, 13 dark later on.
This presents a challenge as they are all on 18/6 currently. When I have more soil I'm turning the 2x4 flower tent into a veg tent and will put the Thai in the 2x2 on a flower cycle just to get it going.
The little seedling is another Highland Thai which is lankier than the bigger one, I'm hoping it's a male. It got a little burnt on the seedling lamp being a stretchy thing. The larger Thai I'm guessing may be female , but we will see.
Thai top right..

Thanks for checking them out.

Re: Landrace Adventures
Thanks GF and a good question. The big Thai has been topped already and I'm expecting a ton of LST to keep the size down. I only want a male but might have one of each so the thought or a pure landrace Thai smoke in 6 months would be nice.Greenfingers wrote: ↑Wed Aug 17, 2022 7:59 pmExciting stuff mate, they look bang on, will you be topping them ?
I will probably top the afghanis once. I've recently let plants grow naturally and it did affect yield (plus it was a bugger to have the top mature quicker than the lowers) so hopefully with just one topping they should bush out more.

Re: Landrace Adventures
Thanks Momma, it's all new to me but I'm secretly hoping for both a male and a female Thai.Momma bear wrote: ↑Wed Aug 17, 2022 8:16 pmI’ve seen several people talk about Thai.. may have to try that strain. They are a beautiful color healthy happy girls![]()
I'm also expecting them to outgrow everything so things might get a bit full when they move to the 2x4.

Re: Landrace Adventures
Good luck with them dude.
It'll be like Day of the Triffids in your house if that Thai gets loose! She looks like she want's to start trying to reach the top of the tent already!!
How'd you get on with that c99 anyway? Any good?

Re: Landrace Adventures
Cheers M, I know what you mean, it's a silly experiment really but I'm a little excited to see if she takes off.
The challenge is the different light cycles in flower between the two, I have to have one veg area for cuts so at some point there will be the Kandahar and the Thai flowering in the same tent Quite what light cycle that will be on is anyone's guess!
The C99 was lovely, it was like strapping a rocket to your ass for the first half hour! Unfortunately I over dried mine so the affect didn't last that long, but a mate grew some cuts and did a much better job. Thanks bro, she was a beautiful plant to grow.

Re: Landrace Adventures
I know mate, it's a totally ridiculous thing to do. The irony is I only want a male, but I'm pretty convinced one is female, be a shame not to find out!
Already thinking of ways to tame her.
