Re: First real grow (after 35 years of smoking)
Thanks so far everyone, quick check this morning and all 3 seem happier now theyre closer to light.
Also in the couple of months ive spent going through this forum, I thought about using the SCROG method.
That way i can maximise the grow of the 3 plants.
Ive seen a net for £9 with 36 holes which would fit in my tent.
I thought of using this method simply due to the small size of growroom.

Re: First real grow (after 35 years of smoking)
Some great advice so far, like Marcus says just keep it simple and you’ll be fine. If something goes wrong keep a cool head and don’t panic, ask on here for advice before doing anything, you shouldn’t encounter any problems that can’t be fixed, it’s how you go about trying to fix it that will be the deciding factor on what happens next.
Get used to reading your plants as well, you can tell a lot just by looking at a plant in real life, photos tend to hide some of the discolouration so when posting on here people might not be seeing exactly what your seeing so make sure your clear in your explanation of what the issue is.
I’m sure you’ll be fine though, it’s a piece of cake when you get your head round it but it’s so easy to overthink things.
One thing I’d suggest is make a spreadsheet for keeping track of your nutrient mixes

That’s what I use, as I add things to the barrel I check it off then there’s no confusion, did I add this or that, it’s all in the chart.
I even made a calculator at the bottom that works out how many ml to add for the set amount of water.
Then a week down the line if your plants are hungry or maybe looking over fed you just consult the spreadsheet and make changes to the next barrel, my memory is shot so for me the spreadsheet is an essential bit of kit, especially when growing multiple strains.
Good luck with you grow and never hesitate in asking for advice. Loads of knowledge on here

You'll definitely have to get a little creative come flip time with 3 plants in there. More plants doesn't always equal more weed, unless you sog with a short veg time etc but that's a different story. When are you looking to flip? Because there going to double in size quite easily

They're growing great guns Ming, very nice.
I see you have a 600watter hps/hid light, well im not sure if ya gonna use it or not later in bloom, but the 4inch fan isn't gonna be able to cope with heat that the light gives off, a 5inch but more like a 6inch fan and filter would be needed. That said running with led in bloom the 4incher should work a treat.

Looking good bro. 3 different strains in that lil tent is gonna be good to watch. I done 2 in my 60x60 and it was pretty tight. Good luck sir.

Re: First real grow (after 35 years of smoking)
Thanks all, and a few things.
I have an extractor and fox carbon filter, just havent fitted yet. When i do im installing in tent.
as someone has said that also helps with airflow?
I was thinking SOG and so have a net coming, due to like you say 3 different strains in 1 small tent.
Iam now running the LED with both VEG & BLOOM now turned on (this morning at 6.30am, i thought id see how it goes with both on.
And they are still technically so young, and im quite surprised by how well all 3 are doing, so was thinking of flipping around 15th August (that would be 3 weeks veg).
Also just arrived - 1L of ''Terppinator'' ive been hearing good things about it.
Again if anyone reads or sees any errors im making Please comment also.
Ive never SOG before but have been reading pages and pages on here, but any little tips to help me would me very much appreciated.
Happy growing everyone and thanks

Re: First real grow (after 35 years of smoking)
Hi Mr Ming, your name makes me think of that slaphead bloke in the Flesh Gordon movie.
No need for all your lights buttons to be on, just leave the veg on for now. They need barely any light at this stage. I use fluorescent tubes for my seedlings, I find they do well with less light till they start really piling on the mass.
Yes, pop the fan and filter in the tent, but you can just run the fan without the filter on the end for now as they won't stink yet. I just run my fan and filter all the time because my farts are horrendous when I go to check on the young plants in the morning.
3 weeks veg, they may be too young to show sex, I;d give them another week as flipping them to 12/12 can make them shoot upwards and I have about 4 feet of growing height... they can soon get too big for the space, this is why I like my T5 fluorescent as it keeps them real short and the node spacings tight if I run it close to their heads. I normally cut their heads off when they hit the 6th node and that's approx 4 weeks, then I flip them and they show sex within a week.
If any of that makes any sense?
You will find your growing groove the more grows you get under your belt, so don't panic and try and correct stuff when folks tell you what's not quite right etc, just have a ponder about it and try and work out why they've told you what's what and then sleep on it.
It'll all make sense in the morning.
Good luck buddy!
