Two tent setup

Post by Josh »

Hey everyone, expanding operations a bit this next go around so looking for some advice on my two tent setup.
Tents are too crowded to have carbon filter inside so that isn't an option unfortunately. The tent size is 121 cm wide, 61 deep and 152 tall
I was pretty stoned when I drew that diagram so cut me some slack, lmao. My main question is, how do I get the exhaust fan to pull equal amounts of air from each tent? Same length ducting?

Found a bad ass inline filter online, kinda pricey but I might have to get it.

Yes mate youd have to have the same length ducting from each tent to the bottle neck, unfortunately it won’t give you good control doing it this way over the 2 environments, plus the fan and filter via a bottleneck will be detrimental to both very expensive fan and filter

I'm really just trying to avoid having to buy two of those inline filters. Any suggestions?

You really need to go 2 completely separate set ups matey, you can run your ducting out of the tent and have a normal filter on the end of the ducting, doesn’t have to be inlinne filter to be Out off the tent ;)

The only way I could see this working is if you didn't try to pull air from both tents... But connected them in series - ie linked to one another with no other vents but as hopper said you would have very little control. I personally wouldn't do it.
The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.

Quick update on the solution I came up with. I bought two Rubbermaid totes and cut a 6 inch hole on either side, this is where I put the carbon filters. On one side is the hose that goes to tent, the other side leads to my fans and out of the room. Works great! Negative pressure on both tents. Basically made my own inline filters

That's brilliant thinking dude.

I'd been playing with the idea of and inline cf and that's just about perfect
