First real grow (after 35 years of smoking)

A HUGE hello to anyone who visits/comments here.

With the current 'world climate' (fuel prices,energy,food) shooting up, it has suddenly become a struggle to afford the luxury that is gods own creation.
So i have invested (hopefully cleverly) in doing my own grow.. (oh and the missus wants a bloody holiday next year

So ill list everything im using so that any of the gods in here may be able to help if things arent going well..

1 x Bay6 75cm x 75cm x 1.2m
1 x CFL 130w & Reflector
1 x NAILGIRLS 600W Dual Switch Veg and Bloom
1 x 4" Extractor fan and fox carbon filter.
1 x 4" Air intake fan (not purchased yet)
1 x 4" metal clip on fan
1 x Set of canna nutes:
Canna A - 100ml
Canna B - 100ml
Canna Cannazym - 150ml
Canna PK 13/14 - 1200ml
Canna Calmag - 1200ml
Canna Rhizotonic - 700ml
Canna Boost - 125ml
Canna Flush - 125ml
Canna Cure - 1400ml
Canna Start - 1600ml
Sumo Boost - 250ml
(paid £30 pounds for the lot, which i thought was excellent value for a first grow)

TROPIC MIX
40% high grade coco, 60% Irish peat
Contains calcium & magnesium (2:1)
CF 14 (EC 1.4)
pH 6.5 (ideal!)
No perlite or woody bits

And FINALLY the seeds....

1 x Gorilla Glue
1 x Bubblegum x og kush
1 x Greenhouse Seeds CHEESE.

Story so far....

07th july - Soak seeds in water & rhizotonic 24 hrs.
08th july - Transferred to zip locks with damp tissue 48hrs.
10th july - Potted
12th july - light on 24hr CFL 130W
14th july - Transferred to big pots ( 2 x rhizopots and 1 x plastic general pot, which are all 12l i believe?)

Here are my first pics taken today, im still to assemble the fan and filter, this will be done tomorrow.

PIC 1 IS BUBBLEGUM 12L plastic pot
PIC 2 IS GORILLA GUM 12l rhizopot
PIC 3 IS GH CHEESE also 12l rhizopot.

They are now 15cm from light as i realised oops they are stretching..
They have had NO food or nutrients apart from seed soaking.
The only water ive given them is from a misting bottle..

So thats where im upto and i hope that u can learn from you all ...

Bombs away buddy. You will be in good hands. Sounds like a value you found for sure.

One quick note, depending on what your environment is and where you are growing, you might just save some money on the intake fan. I didnt use one and broke 1 gram per watt last grow.

So my pots are quite dry as ive not watered only sprayed,
this is their first day in the bigger pots, with 24hr light.
My first question is when/how much/nutes or not..

Ive been looking through forum, but cant see a definitive answer..
Also Ive noticed alot of bud enhancers for down the road.
Ive seen loads, such as: terpinator,rock resinator, big bud, bud candy etc....
I want to max my grow so which is the best and the one that will work with my 'canna nutes''

While its all well and good to be gung ho and well intentioned, I dont want you to set yourself up for disappointment. Set a realistic bar for yourself and just get to know the plant before you try experimenting with all these additives. Thats my 2 cents…

regarding ventilation, in my basement here is what I do.

In my veg tent I dont even vent tbh… theres just a circulation fan and fluorescent bulbs.

In my flower tent i do exhaust through an air scrubber with passive intake using LEDs.

As far as feeding in coco, Im no expert but I think people usually start feeding 1/4 strength canna A+B at 2 weeks above ground.

I would suggest finding a diary from @Keeno @GMO or@Bulls and see what they do

Hi Mr Ming. Welcome.

In coco I like to leave them in small pots and just pot up 3 or 4 times along the way so as not to drown them.

I flood the pots to crack the beans and then flood them through when they start to dry up until such a time as they have a good couple of leaves on them and then they get a daily run through with feed and water.

I like to give them 1ml per L of A + B for vegging then that gets upped to 2ml/L when ready to flip the lights and then I keep an eye on them and if they want it they can have 3ml/L for roughly the 1st 3 weeks of the flowering period, then I drop it back to 1ml or 2ml depending if I've been bothered to grab some pk from the shop or not and dependent on how they're liking their grub.

3 12L pots in a 75cm x 1.2m tent is doable but you'll have to be clever with keeping them short and not having too much veg time (in my opinion)... but as a 1st grow you may kill one or two so it'll all work out well in the end.

I'll suggest keeping it dead simple for the 1st run, someone on here may be free to mentor you if you ask nicely and send them some pics of your moobs.

PPPS - Just realised you're in Tropic mix...

Forget what I've written, get yourself an organic feed (Plagron Alga bloom for example). They'll be fine on water only for a few weeks then start adding a splosh of the grub when they start to go a lighter green colour or a week or two before you flip the lights.

Or grab a bag of coco and use the A + B.

Hi bro, welcome! I hope we can learn from each other!
What can I say with the little knowledge I have... I don't like that CFL. For sure it had to be cheap, but it is very inefficient compared to LED... Anyway for the seedling and early vegetation I think you'll be fine.
Regarding stretching and lighting... I think you have done the same I did, lot of research on the web to have an idea of what to do. Do you know what PAR, PPFD, DLI means?
(I'm not trying to scary you, short thing is: there's a way to calculate and measure the light amount the plants receive, just using an app on your phone)

Perfectly good plants can be vegged under cfl. Wouldnt worry about that. Ya got the bulbs keep it cheap.

Take what marcus said to heart. Make sure your feed is compatible with the growing media you have chosen. Keep it simple and dont bother with anything beyond the basics. Get a feel for how the plants respond to the conditions you provide and learn how to do it better next time. Nailing environment is loads and above nailing the feed.

While rorschach has a point about hitting DLI and staying within a certain light intensity, a part of being a grower is learning how to listen to what the plant tells you. Is it really tall amd lanky? Too little light. Is it curling up and going necrotic? Too much light.

All hail the Tropic Mix.....the Batmix one is a good one to use as well. Even thou you say there are no woody bits and pieces i always sieve mine first and let it dry out helps with any bugs to let it dry out and i also add perlite as it holds water muchly. Looks like you have a good arsenal of nutes at the end of the day i use 3 of them cal/mag, terra grow and PK.
Best thing to do is keep calm relax and focus and most of all enjoy it the less variables you have the less likely to fuck up....
