temps around 30°C, humidity is around 30-40%...I admit spraying plants is a bad habit I have, I must limitate myself on this lol

Re: Tropicanna's in da house! (plus intruders lol)
I think I made a mistake waiting for 4 couple of branches to train, now I have several problems to manage - lower branches are growing slower than higher ones, I have my hard time trying to give them more light exposure (training them, defoliating the higher branches to let the light to better penetrate the foliage).
At this stage these plants are just bushes (and it's fine to me), they still have 2-3 weeks of growth before switch to flowering - the little Speed Auto AKA "Hand Grenade" will give the mark.

Weekly update!
Time's flying lol
Auto +Speed is still flowering, tall 18cm m/l. Maintenance consists only on little defoliation, so the light and the air can reach the whole plant.

T1 and T2 still vegetating, under various trainings. Defoliating, low stress training for primary and bigger secondary branches, supercropping on the tallest sprouts.
T1

T2

Clones: lettim them make a nice rootball before transplanting. Been overwatered by mistake, now seems solved. Yellow tips on leaves, I believe it's a PH issue. Watered by spraying the soil several times (100-150ml each circa, water+wetting agent+PH adjusting to 6.0).

Watering and nutrients:
1l every 3 days to the flowering auto, using these nutrients, PH to 6.0:

1,5l each every 3 days for the vegetative Tropicannas, using these nutrients, PH to 6.0:

Family portrait

Re: Tropicanna's in da house! (plus intruders lol)
Weekly update!!
First of all: the Auto +Speed (AKA "Hand Grenade").
It should be a 7 week autoflower, well we're into the 8th week and still flowering. 18cm tall and full flowering - never seen something like this!! I think the plant has finished the flower build up, now she has to mature (1 to 2 weeks, I think). Trychomes are building on the colas.

Next, the 2 Tropicannas. Still vegetative growth, training is going on. Situation before today training:
(T1 on the left, T2 on the right)

Made a re-pot (readjusting into the same pot) for T1, soil level was too low and I wasn't able to reach lower portion of the plant. Rising a little (4 to 5 cm), training and future lollipopping will be easier. Trained again after this. I have to deal with a LOT of branches, can't wait the moment I'll finally put a net on - things will be so much easier!
T1 after today's training:

T2 is bushier, I have difficulties to put my fingers into the canopy to work. The truth is, I prefer T2 over T1: her structure is the most compact, suggesting a better result in terms of yield/sqmt. We will see.
T2 after today's training:

Today's last photo, as you can see the tent now is the 1 square meter - I prepared it as soon as the new 320W led light arrived. I'm going to use this for flowering (the led recipe of this 300W light is most suited for flowering stage, you can see the light is more purple than the other one), the 2x4 feet will be the veg/mother tent with the 240W led light. I have 2 extractors and 2 carbon filters, the smart 6" Spider Farmer is into the flower tent, an older but still working 4" will do his job into the veg tent (carbon filter has to be cleaned first, lot of dust into the external sock!)

Re: Tropicanna's in da house! (plus intruders lol)
Weekly update!
Somehow I finally managed to lower the temperature into THE room, pulling some fresh air and extracting the hot one in a consistent and efficient way. I feel refreshed
First of all, family portrait!

You can see the overall situation is getting better in every way.
I did a little training to the auto Speed, just to make sure more air and light reach the whole body.

I'm disappointed by the size but despite this you can see it's doing great - buds are developing in size and frostiness. Last watering was with full feeding (whole Canna lot + Big Bud + Carboload), maybe from the next one have to start flushing? Dunno, can't understand autos

Next, the clones: doing great
tried to FIM the top, seems to work great on both. Side branching explosion!

This week I had many warm days (a pair of 37°C peaks) and I noticed the photoperiods quite stopped growth - they focused to recover from training (and surviving the heat of course). This morning was the first day the "cooling system" works at his best; I suddenly noticed the darker colour of the leaves, and a growth restart. Next days will be not that hot - we will see.
T1 fully reached the edge of the pot
lots of vertical branches in the inner zone, topped the tallest ones. The objective is to obtain the most number of tops (still have 1-2 weeks of veg) to "splat" under a scrog net, hopefully covering a half square meter each plant after full stretching (my intention is to train the plant under the net during first 2 weeks of flowering too, during stretching PLEASE someone stop me if it's a bad idea).

This week I worked under the canopy (it's fkn hard to put my finger under this branches mess, next time I will opt for a more pragmatic mainlining leaving the space to easily operate under the main canopy). Pruned quite a lot of material, now the air can circulate a lot better.

T2 is still quite a week behind her sister, not fully reached the edge of the pot yet. Still has her bushier form, her internodes are shorter than T1.

Made the same job down here too, with good results for air circulation:

You know, somehow I prefer T2 over T1. I was thinking about leaving her 1 or 2 more week in veg over her sister, trying to let her reach a bigger size. What will make me decide which one will be the mother of my clones will not be growth speed or bigger yields: I'm looking for the best flavour, and the best FROSTINESS and potency (and a beautiful pink colour should be really appreciated, 60%of the phenotypes of this strain have that bud coloration). So a little more veg is not a big deal.
As I always say, we will see.

Re: Tropicanna's in da house! (plus intruders lol)
37C ouch... glad you got your input/output sorted, my space peaked 30.5 last night... feel the heat gromie, the really hot period has begun here too, AC next 6-9 weeks.
Yeaah those autos are indeed disappointing but at least you'll get couple weeks smoke, the photoperiods I'm sure will do you fine though.
Keep an eye out for dryback EC spikes (pots drying fast will leave salts behind).
Ladies looking healthy & happy. Cheers

Re: Tropicanna's in da house! (plus intruders lol)
Thank you so much, didn't think about this! I'm not one who pushes hard with fertilizers, usually use them every other watering following dosage istructions. I try to understand if plants are under/over fertilized by looking at them (the colour of the leaves, their texture, their tip, etc.)
This run I'm little disappointed about not seeing mychorrizae around the roots - clearly the Rhizotonic I use is too old and not working anymore. Next runs I'm going to reuse this soil again (this was brand new tho, maybe had too much dryouts) reammending it, maybe going full organic in the future. We will see.
P.S. Anyway that auto, once dried, will be gone in not more than a week ;) I'm a heavy smoker!

Re: Tropicanna's in da house! (plus intruders lol)
Btw the outside temperature hitted 37°C, tat day the grow tent had a peak of 34.7°C (growth stopped for 3-4 days, yesterday seems they started growing again) but it was before the new aeration system. Let's see what happens, I'm thinking about yet another solution ;)
Anyway to prevent salt buildup in the soil, last 2 watering were plain water (bubbled for 48hrs, added saponine, PH adjusted to 6.0; 1,5l each Tropicanna, 1l the auto, 0.3l each to the clones)

Re: Tropicanna's in da house! (plus intruders lol)
Yup its full summer here to with similar temps, Im lucky my spot is like a concrete bunker, earthquake resistant homes have there advantages in the summer but yes still need AC (lights on). Sunday evening the sun had set it was 9:30pm and it was 32c outside & it didn't drop below 27c all night.
Growing outside I notice my cannabis plants stop growing above 33c ..... they just freeze especially if there's no wind and temps keep rising. Adding shade cloth/screen helps reduce the temp and promote growth but I haven't grown outside since 2017, I prefer indoors.
Missed the dome but Im guessing theres a couple of new beans in there, what you got cooking @Rorschach lol ?
