Restarting my garden, Blue Dream and Neville's Haze

Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been pretty ill for the last couple of weeks. Feeling a lot better now, but it means I haven't been looking after the girls like I should have been. Still, they're going alright with what they've been through
The other problem I have is I have to be away for all of April, so as well as being abused, the plants have to come down way earlier than I would like. Pretty annoying but I'll have something to smoke and have been learning a lot during this grow.
Figure if I can give them another week, I'll have two weeks to get it dry before I leave. Making the most of a shitty situation
Anyway, here's some pics for you.

Hey all,

Sorry for being away for so long. Everything is down, dried and cured now, and even with all the setbacks and stuff-ups I'm really happy with what I ended up with

I decided to try something different with the cure after seeing the variations on Cob Curing floating around the place. Got some good advice from Genetic Memory Farms on the method and it turned out beautifully.
I took about half of my harvest and dried and cured traditionally. The other half I packed into 500ml jars(straight from the plant) then into the sous vide for 24 hours at 40c. Then took the buds out and dried them for about 48 hours. I then repacked the jars and put them back in the sous vide for another 33 hours at 65c then dried them out again.
They ended up not looking the best, very brown, but the flavour is amazing! Very similar to the traditionally cured bud, but with a fairly strong umami scent, a bit like soy sauce (sounds awful, but tastes great!). It really crumbles up nicely to roll into a joint, and burns clean and very smooth. Loving it

The Neville's Haze had flavours of pine tar, insense and some kind of melon, while the Blue Dream was very herby, with some dried apricot and a bit of citrus.
Total yields were:

Neville's Haze
104g traditional cure
76g cob


Blue Dream
84g traditional
58g cob

Total of 320g, so plenty to keep me going.
