very hard water round here lots of lime scale in the kettle my prevous grow didnt go this bad tho the Santa Marta Haze still trying work it out scratching my head time

was thinking how long does the dolmite lime last for the stuff that buffers the soil ?
Think i might start ph ing my tap water to the soil ph so no buffering needed by the soil
every think was going ok till hit week 7 then went pear shaped just been feeding plain water 2ltrs or 3ltrs at a time may be a build up of crap from the tap water blocking nutrients uptake or the ph went out to 7 in the soil

Ill run some tests just waiting on some distilled water to be delivered shit cant find it any where had to order it online be here soon

Get yourself ONE OF THESE mn
It’ll soften the water and remove chlorine and the likes and be a massive improvement over tap water, mine has taken ec from .8 down to .5, not as effective as ro but they are your pre filters right there, can always add an ro membrane on down the line if needs be

dolomite should last the grow if ya adding a decent amount

see what your tap water is coming out at, maybe just some citric acid or apple cider vinegar will help ya out

This is funny GMo just looked on house and garden web site for info on there soil

"The soil mixture has a blend of fine and coarse structures providing a unique blend to offer superior water retention capacity and improved soil aeration. It is pH buffered using lime and is naturally high in phosphorus with additional slowrelease fertiliser to provide several weeks of nutrients for plant growth."

Mate, these are beautiful. I wish I could get this far and fat before the autumn colours kick in, which is pretty normal late stage, especially in soil.

I agree @GMO, 3-4 weeks max depending on what your growing, weed plants feed hard so I would have pushed it to about week 3 before feeding. I’m not a soil grower though.

Just ordered 3 STAGE under sink drinking water filter give it bash try lower my water EC £50 of the bay

You’d be amazed the crap that those filters alone will take out of the water, when I change my ro pre filters I quite often see bits of rusting metal and all sorts of crud stuck to them, they smell as well, don’t know if you’ve ever distilled water but they smell just like the gunk that’s left in the bottom of a distiller after a run
