Making plans with a stoner is like being with a prostitute. They tell you they’re coming, but you know it’s a lie.

Re: reefereshers and cannacotta by tastebudz seeds
Now at about 4.5 since potting. Most are showing roots out the bottom of the pots so I've transplanted 6 of them to their final 25 litre pots. I need to decide which 2 are going to fill the remaining 2 pots.
So originally potted 5 reefereshers and 5 cannacotta. I left 1 of the reefereshers too long for water when they were still very small so sadly lost that 1 early on which I kicked myself for. Out of all of them I got 3 normal looking reefereshers and one which took longer to get growing properly but eventually grew as a double header but the cannacotta I only got 2 normal looking ones and 3 very strange looking ones, 2 of which are still very odd looking and small and the other slowly developed into a double header aswell. I started to panic that I wasn't going to be able to fill my space so planted 2 vanilla frosting seeds that I got free also from tastebudz when I got the other seeds. They are only small still but 1 looks healthy and the other is also starting to show some strange genetics.
As it stands I have the 3 strong reefereshers and the double headed reeferesher on 1 side in big pots and the other side I have the 2 strong cannacottas in big pots but I'm waiting to see who will win the last 2 spots. Looks like it will probably be the double header cannacotta and the stronger looking vanilla frosting.
Will give it a couple of days then start to too the bigger ones.
I've also pulled the lights right up to the top now and I'm going try raising the power level slowly instead till I reach about 50% probably.

Are you hand watering into the trays or is it an "Auto-pot" like setup? Don't know your method, just know that plants sitting in runoff water can have negative effects.

No I hand water into the pots, the trays are there to catch the run off. They only got potted late last night so they aren't even getting enough water to even get a run off as such yet but I will lift them about an inch later on blocks and when it comes to flushing them I will either pump the water out of the trays or put them over the bathN_D_Shadows wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 4:20 amAre you hand watering into the trays or is it an "Auto-pot" like setup? Indeed so, the point of run off is to wash away the old feed/salts from the roots and in the medium. If you don’t it all gathers up and becomes acidic so sends your ph through the roof. Which causes alsorts of madness to happen to the plants. So yeahN_D_Shadows wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 4:20 amAre you hand watering into the trays or is it an "Auto-pot" like setup? Once your feeding regular run off is a must.
And obviously if they sit in that runoff water they suck it all back up again.

They won't be left to sit in the run off, the tray are literally there to stop the water going through my ceiling. They will be raised in the trays later so won't even sit in the run off when if comes out the pots but will be removing the run off water straight away anyway as don't want the extra humidity in the groomERBURT wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 12:24 pmIndeed so, the point of run off is to wash away the old feed/salts from the roots and in the medium. Re: reefereshers and cannacotta by tastebudz seeds
Growing in a loft myself I struggled with run off. I think a recirculating system is best where the water is contained.
I use run to waste atm but already had a few minor spills.
