May have overcooked the clones a bit
Image

Been a bit lazy with them, they've had some formulex but they probably ate that already, on a plus note they are well rooted.

Got them all potted up into coco today, 10 out of the 12 made it. One didn't root cos I cut the stem too short and the other was the one with the rot so they got taken out.
Just got to nurse them back to health a bit now and then pick the best 4 for potting into 16L pots, some will stay in the tiny pots and will be going to one of my customers lol, I seen he had some plants growing in his garden a few years back and every visit he shows me his progress, gonna surprise him with some blue cheese clones. should be seeing him in about a month so by then they should be healthy and ready for the new season.

thx for looking in

Crazy isn’t it, they all grow slightly different as well.
Wish I had taken some close up shots now

The way they grow all fluffy like cotton wool reminds me of mycelium, makes me wonder if that’s why micorihzal fungi works so well with weed plants, never tried cloning anything else in this way though so have nothing to compare against. Maybe time for experiments

Roots have a skin and inside they have a core with a different material.....

It's all beyond me too but I can feel a rabbit hole 🕳 🐇 coming along......

Yeah your right I remember that from a book now you mention it, I have some research to do, if I remember correctly the material in the centre acts like a sponge while the outer material acts a bit like a straw allowing the plant to draw water from the ground.

Yeah coming on nicely now mate, come Sunday I’ll have some nice shots of some bud growth, checked them today and they are already fattening up, should make for some nice photos come the weekend.

I’ve never had the clones go so pale before lol, oh well they will be fine in a week or two.

Thanks for looking in

Yeah a bit like swiss cheese effect. Microbes love things like that. Rocks with tiny spaces, pumice is one, biochar being another excellent home for them. So probably goes along with what you were saying about the relationship with roots and michorazae.

That’s an interesting thought @DIY.Rik, sounds like it could be oxygen related too then if they like that sort of substrate, I know fungi tend to thrive in higher co2 environments, whereas weed is totally the opposite, so they have that symbiotic relationship, I’m pretty sure carbon and perhaps co2 gets excreted from the roots too, fungi likes carbon.
The more I think about this the more it’s starting to make sense. There’s a couple of books I need to dig out and re read
