Are you in a hard water area @Vador just asking or wondering whichever way you look at it. cus i think 2ml a litre of A&B is around 1.0 to 1.2ec with my soft water, I've not checked tbh for time but pretty sure it was around that last time i did, then again my heads a shed these days on memory section lol. Nice plants mukka.

Yes mate my water is hard from the tap, I run it through a set of filters but that mainly removes chlorine and any larger debris, basically just a set of pre filters for an ro, takes ec down to about .6 though so definitely helping.2-Scoops wrote: ↑Sun Jan 09, 2022 1:30 pmAre you in a hard water area @Vador just asking or wondering whichever way you look at it. cus i think 2ml a litre of A&B is around 1.0 to 1.2ec with my soft water, I've not checked tbh for time but pretty sure it was around that last time i did, then again my heads a shed these days on memory section lol. Never used to bother before but thought I’d make a bit more of an effort.
Got access to 2 ro systems but it just adds another step to my cycle and brings unwanted attention having to lug barrels of pure water in from the garage so gonna carry on as I am for now and see what happens in the future.
At some point all this has got to be packed away when the father in law comes to stay with us, if it was a more permanent setup I’d definitely be thinking of just running a pipe from the garage to the groom, maybe in the future though we will see

Re: Tour of the Death Star & attack of the clones
No not London water @2-Scoops, probably just as bad though, always had problems with limescale and things. we have an ro in the kitchen but it only has a 4L tank so not very good for the amount needed for gardening, the one in the garage is 40/40 so can produce 500L in about 2 hours, trouble being like I say is getting barrels into the house without looking sus.
In nft I never even used to bother with filters and they was just fine, these plants for sure look nicer and healthier so it’s probably down to the cleaner water and coco too I’m thinking, I’m nft the tanks get emptied every week so there’s plenty of opportunity for nute imbalance and salts but with this coco they get flushed with fresh nutes every day so it makes sense they should be happier.
Oooh I do like Yorkshire tea, been a while since I’ve had a normal cuppa though, we been drinking biscuit tea for a while now, bloody lovely

Well at end of shift whats point faffing around if your not getting problems with it, i know i wouldn`t be, straight from tap if it works.
My tea usually ends up with soggy biscuits in bottom of cup if that counts as biscuit tea. Eyy they do biscuit tea as well do those guys.
