Nice heads up, tbh I more lean to top feeding now cause I mulch and top dress but do bottom feed sometimes too. Thanks for stopping byERBURT wrote: ↑Fri Dec 31, 2021 11:33 pmI read earlier in your thread you bottom and top fed/watered?
If so stick to top watering with a good run off to clean the soil through. Best not to bottom feed/water as they suck up old nutrients that are best washed away. Otherwise you get build up of feed at the bottom of the pot that will stunt growth you always want to have a good runoff to clear the old salts away rather than suck them up![]()

Re: Sir scrog alot and his 2x4
No problem
100% top feed always, you never want pots sitting in old water or sucking up water that’s been passed through or bottom fed. Doesn’t do the ph any good as the the old feed builds up and the salts cause problems. Then you
End up having to flush so always best to top feed to keep a cleanse through the soil keeping fresh feed to the roots and old feed and salts flushed out the bottom to waste.
I don’t know why you mulch or top dress as haven’t read through but another tip is your better off using a liquid feed as you have more control of wot goes in,how long it takes to take affect, ability to increase or decrease amounts of feed. In turn making it easier to read the plants needs.

Re: Sir scrog alot and his 2x4
It is a liquid feed that I use, it's an organic feed range which comes with 2 organic liquid feeds, a top dressing, mychroriza and a pk feed. I mulch cause it keeps the soil moist as I'm in fabric pots and they dry out quickly, it also adds more nutrients back into the soil as it breaks down, I generally just reuse my soil over and over.ERBURT wrote: ↑Sat Jan 01, 2022 12:03 amNo problem100% top feed always, you never want pots sitting in old water or sucking up water that’s been passed through or bottom fed. Iv ran coco before and dwc and all sorts but I gravitate to this way of doing it cause its easy an I don't really need to think about it too much. I Litterally can't over feed these plants if I try and never really get any deficiency when using this feed range, I let them sit in the run off whenever I feed them but haven't noticed any issues as of yet which would concern me, I Litterally have no where for the run ofc to go though so it up to the plants to suck it up

I recognise your name

If something works then stick with it
but I’d defo collect that run off and get rid rather than let be sucked up.

Re: Sir scrog alot and his 2x4
growth seems to have slowed down, still not filled out the net. Iv give it another trim back and I'll probably get ready to flip next week.
