Getting closer to culling another NL5 Bx, NL#4 is a slow feeder and gimpy. At this point, that leaves two chances for a female. Typically, AK Bean Brains genetics are reliable and explosive – haven’t seen the explosion yet with these. Regardless, the test clones are poppin roots.

Testing the cuts for sex by using a three position hydro tote. The tote is a stock 12 gallon home depot bin. At about 8 gals of water, the level in the tote comes about 1 cm from the bottom of the net pot. Used 20ml each of GH FloraNova Bloom and Botanicare Hydroguard, I’m hoping the roots establish quickly and hoping I don’t need to dome these cuts as they establish.

Past two days, decided to dome all cuts to lessen stress of these dry wintery times. They are still alive, and at this time roots have reached the reservoir. Dome removed.

Roots from all three different cuts appear within the first week of 11/13 light scheduling. I’m excited to see the progress but unsure what I’ll see next. Sex organs? Stretch? More settling into their pots?
