Plants were chopped at the base on Sunday evening and left to hang, yesterday I took all the buds off the stems and put it all in the drying rack, it’s been 5 days since harvest and after jaring for an hour getting a reading of 73% humidity in the jars.
I’ll try again on Sunday and see what happens, getting close now though lads.
Shame we have to go to such efforts to dry and cure it, not like a strawberry is it where you can just use it straight from the plant.
Looks like 1/5 of the deep cheese has germinated so far @Point 5, transfer’d it to rr cube today and will start a diary when she surfaces, I’m hoping to get all 5 pop then can flower 4 and keep the best for mum, if no more pop then it’s gonna be ages before my next harvest lol
Got £180 worth of coco sat in a mates garden I can have so might just plant all my seeds and grow out whatever germinates in coco and come back to nft for the clones

Re: Old cheese auto grow
Well I’m going to call this my last diary update I think.
All weed is dried trimmed and is now cold curing, managed to squeeze it all into 4 x 2L jars, it’s a bit overcrowded but only had room in the fridge for 4 jars so had to squeeze it all in. I’ll keep an eye on it, should be fine though.
Currently temperature in the jars is 3-4c with humidity of 63-65% depending on what jar you look inside.
400w of hps is just not enough for a 1.2 tent, it does the job but would have yielded a lot more with a 600w, will be interesting to see how much difference it makes with a parabolic and 600w
Just waiting for a load of seeds to pop then will be starting a new diary

You`ve got yourself a nice bit of buddage to go at their mukka and a good effort with the equipment, i use a similar ballast myself, i dont like using super lumens though i have had a few bulbs go tits up and pop when turned on, even with right bulbs they seem to pop very much quicker. Great show Vador .

oh really, I’ve never had any problems with super lumens, now I come to think of it this bulb is pretty old now and probably could do with being replaced as well.

Re: Old cheese auto grow
hi vador nice friend you have there!one thing i feel i should mention is when using the coco with the silly clay balls you may need to wash/buffer it or the clay balls bugger up ph by shedding clay dust in the medium which can and does make ph more alkaline,i had a devil of a time with similar mix though mine was perlite/clay balls mix,i have steered clear of clay balls since! maybe ok but worth checking for peace of mind, good luckVador wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 3:04 pmCheers jimmi.2-Scoops wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 1:27 pmYou`ve got yourself a nice bit of buddage to go at their mukka and a good effort with the equipment, i use a similar ballast myself, i dont like using super lumens though i have had a few bulbs go tits up and pop when turned on, even with right bulbs they seem to pop very much quicker. Re: Old cheese auto grow
Thanks for the heads up @duke
I will be pasteurising each bag before use to kill off any nasties where it’s been in my mates garden for a while, I’ll make sure to put the hosepipe through each bag before pasteurisation
Cheers

Thanks @Keeno, I’m happy with the result for my first time back, gives me a more realistic goal to beat next time round as well.
Thanks
