Re: Old cheese auto grow
Hey @duke, thanks for looking in.
Yes they are brilliant lights aren’t they, never tried flowering with one but always use them for bringing seedlings on and good for mother’s too.
Light is coming along now, got it cut in half today and waiting for it to get dark out so I can bring it back in from the garage undetected.
Got all the connectors ordered up to rig it all up safely, only thing I’m having trouble finding is a piece of sheet metal to fill the void in, might have to fabricate one myself, it looks something like this and is about a meter long, the only critical measurement is the 60mm the other two don’t matter

If I can find a piece of metal with that profile it can be riveted on just to finish it off and cover any sharp edges, if not then it’s not too much of a problem as it’ll face the back of the tent so won’t be seen but you just have to watch your fingers on sharp edges lol, probably chuck some masking tape on temporarily.
I know I’ve seen thin gauge metal in those sort of shapes before but can’t seem to find it again, for now just gonna stick a length of box section along the cut edge to give it a bit of stability
4 tubes in each veg section top and bottom will be perfect for mother’s and vegging, got a 2ft t5 I can use too so should be quite a productive veg tent if all goes well

Just waiting for some root riot cubes to turn up then I’ll be starting off the next load of seeds, most likely another auto run for now while I get things upgraded and tweaked, autos are more forgiving and not having to stick to a light cycle is very helpful at the moment.

Re: Old cheese auto grow
The girls are flushed and ready

Here are a couple of closeups.

Spent a couple of hours and got all 4 plants cut at the base then hung from the roof of the tent, then drain and empty all the tanks and equipment. Once the floor is cleared and cleaned I then went and just took off the water leafs and any bigger leafs and let it all fall to the floor where it will be left to dry.
It's getting kinda late now so the rest has been abandoned, tomorrow ill get back in there again after work and chip away at a bit more, not going to take too much more off for now, going to dry it as it is and use a silicon brush to take the leafs off later after drying.
Going for low and slow, 20c, 49% in there at the moment so if I can keep it like that for the next week or so ill be happy.
Unfortunately found this, was the only bit I've seen so far but see what happens I guess, might get lucky.

I've trimmed up that whole cola and cut out the rot, that piece has been left hanging just above the dehumidifier out of the tent, that bit can be dried out for a tester.
Smelling lovely in there though, can't wait till its cured

Re: Old cheese auto grow
Damn rot. I hope the rest turns out OK.
Nice autumnal
colours I'd say rather than discoloured leaves.
I bet that smoke is lovely.
I had 2 autos once, one lovely looking and healthy, the other all yellow and fading. But it was the faded one that tasted the best

Re: Old cheese auto grow
Yes your right @DIY.Rik they are nice colours, never seen them go like this before, it’s due to the vitalink finale. if you look in the first picture above, the top right plant is the only one that didn’t have finale and you can see in the picture it is more green than the others and its had longer flushing, the finale helped them use up the remaining nitrogen and finish sooner than the one that didn’t have finale. Crazy, I wasn’t expecting to see any noticeable difference but it’s plainly obvious, maybe not as much in the photos but in real life it’s easy to see the difference

Re: Old cheese auto grow
Got round to my mates to collect some more equipment today,
10" ram fan with acoustic ducting and reducer pieces, this will replace a 5" exhaust which will now become my new inlet. This things a beast.

A drying rack, couldn't have come along at a better time too.

1200w dual dimmable balast and a 600w hps to go with it, I'll only be running one 600w but its nice to know I have the second one, maybe in the future can run another flower tent.

to finish off we got a contactor and timer, also got a length of wire for wiring up the heater on the fan controller, Whatever is left can be used to make an extension lead from the next room.
