Re: Dolato and HIFI 4G
Cheers for the heads up Mr scoops I'm subbed. Do you have to do anything to the coco to reuse it.

Re: Dolato and HIFI 4G
I don`t know about that mate, fuck i lost nearly half my last crop to bud rot. Mind you i removed osciltating fan out of room mid summer cus one on living jacked in and im a tight coont. Lesson learned though " stop being such a tight coont"
I just rip out the main stem break up the coco and remove some rootage, but nothing much, i don`t fuck about i just pull out odd bit of clumped rootage i come across whilst breaking it up which is very little tbh, i then add some more perlite and run it under tap for a few minutes, then i prep/soak it with a fert mix at strength that im using and bingo, Canna coco pro+ isn`t the course coco though and i found that i can really only reuse it once, the courser stuff can be used more than one and prolly needs buffering with a low dose calmag/water mix after each grow, done by soaking overnight after you`ve washed it under tap, tbh the stuff i reuse could prolly have same treatment but I'm too lazy to faff around.

Re: Dolato and HIFI 4G
Lol man after my own heart. My extractor fan is making mega loud noises at night for some reason so I thought I'd leave it until the misses mentioned it. She did last night so I'm off to buy a new one tomorrow

Re: Dolato and HIFI 4G
Mate my last extractor was running for over ten years closer to 20 and sounded like a tank, i even found a dead bird in duct when i took or pulled it out from loft to be replaced before my last grow. But yes they do get noisier with age, very much so. I did try oiling the old one first but it just made an oily mess and i got splatted all over my face with oil when i turned it on to test and see how silent I'd made it

Re: Dolato and HIFI 4G
hi jimmy,my rvk is 9 yrs old i have never cleaned it or done anything its almost never been switched off in all that time and ime it seems to be when you switch them off that they then often refuse to work2-Scoops wrote: βSun Oct 17, 2021 3:51 pmMate my last extractor was running for over ten years closer to 20 and sounded like a tank, i even found a dead bird in duct when i took or pulled it out from loft to be replaced before my last grow. re the noise i wrapped the whole rvk and ducting in thick wool carpet and added a layer of spare insulation i had found in a skip, wrap the whole lot in thick layer of gorilla tape and you can barely hear the rvk now until you open the drobe, then it sounds like a jet engine!

Re: Dolato and HIFI 4G
Your more than welcome. TBH i really think i should prepped the old coco firstly pr-soaking overnight in a calmag mix cus one is looking dead rough. Hopefully be ok when they get a bit bigger, but atmo hifi 4g looks like shit dropping odd leaf.high-as-ya-like wrote: βSun Oct 17, 2021 4:39 pmI'm in for this Jim I'm sure yal smash it
