Happy days, I think that fan blowing on top is what made me think they were drying out. Keep an eye on leaf tips for any sign of burn with the feed going up.Ghost_In_A_Jar wrote: ↑Sun Sep 26, 2021 4:24 pmOk, upped the feed water to .75m/l of A+b. Reset ph to 5.8
Reduced watering times as well so just once a day.
Also moved all fans from blowing on the surface of the coco.
On a plus note, all 4 autos have popped up. I’ll hand water these and just play it by ear.

Lift pots up and if they`re still heavy with water/ferts and such like let it be till it dries out a wee bit. You may only need to water young seedling every 3 or 4 days. Once they have lots of roots you can wet them as much as you like in coco.Ghost_In_A_Jar wrote: ↑Sun Sep 26, 2021 4:24 pmOk, upped the feed water to .75m/l of A+b. Reset ph to 5.8

Re: Ghost_In _A_Jars's Multi Strain Coco Adventure
End of week update,
Seems to be picking up a bit now. Watering/feeding every other day at lights on.
Lights at 70%
Feed is still at .75ml a+b and ph’d to 5.8, although it wants to creep up to 6.0 virtually daily.
Autos are just doing their thing for now. Nothing major to report on those….and the basil is also starting to get some traction.
Starting to top and train the bigger plants to start the spread and slow down their upward growth.

Re: Ghost_In _A_Jars's Multi Strain Coco Adventure
End of week update.
Some growth happening! Nothing substantial at this point, which is a bit frustrating.
Feed has remained the same over the last week, with a fresh mix in the sump being put in on Friday night.
Seeing some of the leaves curling up isn’t filling me with confidence about this lot.
The LA Cheese (I may call this official UK cheese
After the last couple of grows, I think I’ll knock the multi strain grows on the head. It works with soil or where you can water individual pots, but it’s a bit of a nightmare in a system like this.
Onwards and upwards

Re: Ghost_In _A_Jars's Multi Strain Coco Adventure
Just to note it down….
Added .5m/l of calmag to the sump and gave the plants a good drench this morning.
Ph is sat at 6.0
I’ll update if it makes any difference over the next few days.

Re: Ghost_In _A_Jars's Multi Strain Coco Adventure
See all that in picture ^^^^^ its caused by overwatering ie: soggy roots. Exact same as in lots of your previous pictures, but most seem to pulling out of it now and look much better so rootage must have spread and be growing.
I don`t know why your adding calmag, up your base ferts to at least 1-1.5ml per liter.
Just my opinion

I agree with 2-scoops. You need to drop the calmag and keep them with a balanced base nutrient. Cal mag is required sometimes when your plants are working overtime. Not sure if it's overwatering but I can see you have a K and N def as well as other signs showing like calcium and magnesium but that could and probably will be due to being low on NPK. Check out Mulder's chart to see the relationships.

Low potassium will affect the uptake of magnesium and that's why you normally see the red stems and pelote when you see magnesium def. Throwing more magnesium at the issue will cause lockout eventually as your plants won't be taking it up and it will build up in the media.

Re: Ghost_In _A_Jars's Multi Strain Coco Adventure
Roots are now establishing as you say 2-Scoops, they will start flying now. There is a plant back right that's not happy with the feed atm, hense the 0.5ml cal-mag to load them up for 2 days, give that plant time to catch up before upping the feed. But will be at 1ml within a week I reckon.

Cal mag is only going in for 2 days, then move the A and B up. It's more of a load up than a consistent feed.seymore_budz wrote: ↑Sun Oct 10, 2021 1:44 pmI agree with 2-scoops. Re: Ghost_In _A_Jars's Multi Strain Coco Adventure
That makes more sense buddy as if they been low for a while then the coco can hang onto cations. I would also consider giving these a foliar of some nitrozyme, formulex and fulvic acid to give them a shot of the good stuff they can use immediately as it will take a few days for the cogs to start turning.Keeno wrote: ↑Sun Oct 10, 2021 1:46 pmCal mag is only going in for 2 days, then move the A and B up.
