Day 42 OF 13/11

Some tunes to listen while you browse.

Two weeks to go according to the breeder they are a 7-9 week strain. The girls are looking a bit tired now with all the work. The last 6 of the i grew i pulled early due to mites so Ive never bought one to completion. Most trichs are cloudy and some pistil are going amber. They are bulking up a bit,Im not a fan of defol but gave them some anyway to open them up more was a lot of foliage. I think its working. I can safely say though that outdoors with temp fluctuations, cold, underfed and mites they still get bigger denser buds. Im sure thats the sun factor but im wondering if its because im usin pk and not my own flowering ferment that i have in the past. I wonder if its playing a part. Next run of these I will not be using pk but my flower ferment so have to wait and see to be sure. But i rekon it may out perform the pk tbh. They have had two waterings this week with pk@ 0.75ml/ltr and few purple petioles so calmag @1ml/ltr. The lower leaves were getting hungry so its had one feed of fish hydrolisate as well. One plant does have rock hard buds but im not certain if its a pheno thing or that its closest to the light, but it is a different pheno and i will take a couple of cuts from her to go with the cut of the other favoured pheno. TBH the conditions these have been grown under I would have expected more outta them unless they are going to amazing things over the next couple off weeks. Cheers for Stopping in.

Flying Dutchmen

Dutch Delight

Here is the sixth plant in the room, Its a Dutch Delight. its two weeks behind the Nemesis so just entering week 5 now. I trained this one differently and I like the result, hardly an inch of stem without buds on it. Did a lot of stem pinching through stretch to keep those nodes nice and tight. Its gunna be a pretty plant sitting on her own in that space in a couple of weeks. Its not a great pic but god i took some to get this one lol.

haha yeah i picked up some top tips for training through stretch from Sadface mate. I nailed it on the Dutch Delight, coulda been more onto it with the Nemesis though. Bring those obscenities on brother, like terms of endearment to an Aussie are the obscenities.

Hello bro, looking amazing!
Wonder why you got calmag in the feed schedule yet? They shouldn't need it, and lower leaves dying absolutely fine mate.. I'd say go easy on ferts mate, mainly aim for lower rate PK ..and if you use PK all the way though flowering, do a mid flower flush. You will be amazed how much that increases growth rate!

ooi Bulls, the calmag i have to use, no matter how ive amended the soil i have had calmag issues in all my soil grows done in pots. I dont fek about with it now, any purple stems or petioles mate and she gets calmag or epsom salts. Personally I think it has to do with breeding as in the old days with our bush strains cal/mag deff was no where near as common as i see it in the fancy strains of today. The pics make them look darker than they are mate they havent been fed any N based nutrients in over 6 weeks until this week.Last N feed they had was before flipand it was only a small amount of blood and bone. The yellowing of bottom leaves is something that coco growers accept and ive even seen some soil growers accept it. I can tell you in all my years of growing weed in the ground this just does not happen. If the bottom leaves are going yellow it N deficient. Its a misconception that you cant give veg nutes in flower. If your leaves are going yellow they re not functioning at full capacity which means your plant is producing less much needed carbs. Beginning of May is the time of year to harvest outdoors here and i always let mine go longer and have never had a yellow leaf. Its understandable through flush in coco but otherwise shouldnt happen. Interesting idea on he pk flush, tbh i cant see my self using it in soil again, i am pretty confident my flowering nutrient will out perform it but have to wait till next year to replicate the conditions and find out lol. Cheers for looking in bro.

Yeah you might be right mate. But it's not only the new fancy strains I guess it's to do with all the new lights, which are far more intense than the oldschool ones. They are also draining the life out of the plants and they require more nutrients. I accept yellowing leaves from the very bottom of the plant, which is normal simply because they are some of the very first leaves and soon they receive no light at all simply because of how thick the canopy gets. Soil is a bit more confusing for me with all the grow/bloom nutrients and the fact you don't see the changes in plant right away. WIth coco at least I use 2 parts feed through the entire grow and just add extra PK in flower.
