First proper photoperiod grow!! SoG

Gonna scrap the net and grow 12 instead of 18. Think I was biting off more than I can chew for now. Taking care of 12 is a pretty big jump in itself from 2 or 3.
Don’t run before you can walk as they say!

Happy with the set up now.

Got my new ballast today. Was using a friends old magnetic 600w ballast before and tbh it was probably a fire hazard! Quite an upgrade I got at a bargain price of £30 delivered on eBay. Guy said it was no more than 2 years old. Normally upwards of £120! If I don’t use it for flowering my cupboard I might use it in my tent outside to veg a few more. Should keep things nice and cosy in a 60x60!

Seeds are arriving tomorrow. I prefer putting them in the ground over paper towels. Have had a much better success rate soaking for 24h or until they sink and then into pots so will be planting on Wednesday. Just about ready to grow

Seeds have arrived. Going with:
3x Northern lights
3xWhite widow
3x Black sugar
2x Durban poison
1x Bubba’s Gift

I’ve just read up on the Bubba’s gift. Has little to no stretch and a very short flower time and I think it would be a good idea to take a few clones from that plant for a proper SoG attempt with that strain alone. Have a feeling it’s going to be a lot smaller than the rest of these strains so I might even take it out my cupboard and veg it for a while longer in the tent. See how it goes. All set for germination now. Will check back later when I start to see some progress.

Day 1 for these. All have popped there heads up with no issues.

Probably have a bit of space now to do some training, little bit of LST and some topping I think. Cross that bridge when I come to it! Will check back in a week or 2 with another update.

They’re not staying like that mate. Just got them under the 1 light just now while they are that size to save on electricity! Probably going to take the Durban poison out and put it in my tent as well. Just have a long row of 2. Should be okay

What's the LED setup and power you have? Height, dimmer setting?

I've not got around to a full led grow yet but had a small test in a gq60 on its side with a fecida cr600 and I think it was too intense even on the lowest setting which resulted in stunted seedlings that were very very slow to take off. My previous grows have been in bigger tents with dual spec bulbs. Would be interesting to know how you are working with yours...
